Remarks :

Being one of the new IIMs there are many repercussions currently, however things will smooth out in upcoming years. When compared with other new IIMs, accommodation facilities are too good. The location is one of the best in Nagpur, and as per the new initiative Field Immersion program is only carried out in IIM Nagpur.

Entrance Preview :

CAT, Had other well established B Schools , but got into it as IIM Nagpur is being mentored by IIM Ahmedabad, great support from faculties. Nagpur being political area also adds value, will get benefits of being the charter batches of IIM Nagpur.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is same as that of IIM Ahmedabad , prepared by highly skilled professors after detailed research, the case study provided for understanding of the subject is prepared by the subject specialists. As of now 20-25 electives are being offered in the second year.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes it provides internship, in varied sectors as per students preferences. Stipend varies on negotiation level.

Placement Experience :

As of now placements opportunities are not much clear, as first bath is yet to sit for the placements, being on the naive stage, difficulties are there , but the placement team is constantly working to get the things smooth. There was a 100% summer placement of the first batch, and second batch is going to sit for their summer placement process soon.

College Events :

There has been two events as of now on Management level, where CEOs and Sr. Hr of widely known organisations came up , and enlightened the students, and in the first meet there were famous political people came up. As of now no big cultural event ha taken place, being on the naive stage of growth but will take place soon, apart from that technical events keeps on happening but not on national level.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Total is around 11 lakh, expensive but less than other IIMs,its divided amongst the six semesters, and includes accommodation and services, except laundry, however have provided with fridge and washing machine, TV (in common room). Mess fess is not included.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As of now no scholarship facility have been provided, but there is process going on to make it available for this or next upcoming batches.

Campus Life :

Gender Ratio is - 87:13 (56 students- 7 girls), as a healthy batch number there is a great cooperation within the batch, students from every religion are here and we celebrate every festivals with equal enthusiasm, girls are being encouraged to take initiative in every process, we have built in clubs that takes care of individual departments.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are just awesome(I mean it) , and individual occupancy, food though is not that good, but still is of ok quality when compared with other mess food- they charge around 5000 bugs for four time meal. However there is a mess team that constantly tries to get the quality on higher level.

Alumni/Alumna :

No alumni base, as this is the second batch, the senior batch got exposure in IIM A for one term and have learnt a lot and share the same with us , they may a times take doubt clearing sessions which helps us to grab the concepts.

Exam Structure :

There are surprise quizzes every now and then, on an average 2-4 class every day (includes Saturday) , first month seemed hectic, but then it becomes a daily schedule and one gets habitual of the schedule. There is a provision of Group study here, which needs to taken quite seriously.

Admission :

Admission is through CAT, there are several parameters on which the selection criteria was based this year which also included weight age to the work experience. On basis of all the parameters like percentage in 10th , 12th , graduation, CAT, and work ex- index is calculated.

Faculty :

All the faculties are from IIM Ahmedabad, few being the visiting faculties. The support, dedication, and motivation of the faculty is incredible which is evident from the fact that they always bring fresh perspectives of the ongoing issues around the world with respect to the different firms and markets.

Placement Experience:

From trimester 4, students are eligible for placements. Every year, top pharmaceutical corporations pay visits to institutions. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, market research, consulting, IT healthcare verticals, diagnostics, medical communication, nutraceuticals, and other related healthcare sectors are just a few of the industries where students might find work. Sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, client servicing and business development, international marketing, and operations are among the job profiles they pursue. Every year, the most expensive bundles change. Companies give PPOs to high-performing employees.

Placement Experience:

There is a summer internship after the first 3 trimesters where companies come for interviews and roles depend on the company that selects you. It is for 2-3 months usually and is compulsory ie a part of the curriculum to complete to qualify for the degree. Same for final placement, interviews begin after the 4th trimester is done. More than 50 companies came to campus for final placement and highest package given was 11.2 lakhs and average was 8.8 lakhs which depended on the company and the job role. Roles are offered for consulting, IT, media, manufacturing and banking and finance roles of HR Generalist, HR Business Analyst and Talent Acquisition. Companies such as Godrej, IndusInd bank, TCS, Zee, Meru, Capstone, etc were the prominent companies for the final placement. 100% placement was achieved for the HR specialization.

Placement Experience:

Students sit for their Summer placements from the 2nd Trimester onwards. NM has a trimester system. A total of 181 companies visited the campus for the Summers of 2020-22 batch. 28 of them were from Fortune 500 companies and 90 new recruits. The total number of offers made was roughly 650-700 and still counting. The highest stipend was 3 lakhs and the average stood at 1.2 lakhs. Top 50 offers clocked an average of 2.48 lakhs. The different profiles for which the companies came were IT analytics, Consulting, E-commerce, BFSI, FMCG, FMCD, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Media & Telecom, Logistics, oil, and gas, etc. NMIMS Mum has 100% placement records. After doing my MBA I plan to go back to Corporate and learn and implement at the workplace. Thereby have self-growth and also bring revenues to the company.

They do have a placement committee. Most of my classmates are already placed at top-notch brands and agencies through the placement cell. Post 9 months, we have to do a mandatory internship to get hands-on experience of the industry life and work culture.

Admission:

Candidates get admission through an online form or offline as well. But would suggest for the online application. The basic documents requirement are mark sheets of x and xii ,eligibility certificate and caste certificate if required by any candidate. The course duration is of 2 years. The candidate is eligible if he/she has done bachelors with 50% marks from any recognized university. The course deals in lots of disciplines like HR, Marketing ,Finance etc the candidate can enroll according to their choices.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very good in the college as they try and place maximum of their students in the best of the companies with good deals. 80% of the students definitely do get placed and they are quite satisfaction and happy with the job. The renowned company do come and recruit the students.
