Remarks :
Pursuing PG now after UG at MVJCE. You might have read so many reviews about the college, from students who did either UG or PG from MVCJE. This is another review, from a present student of the college, who already pursued civil engineering (UG), and now structural (PG) too, And the only reason for this continuity is MVJ College of Engineering. I did not have any issues while going through the admission as I already did UG here. The process of seat booking for me personally was super fast and precise. If at all, your admission will take place through 2 or 3 stages, similar to other colleges. The admission committee might expect you to pass the KCET/CET test with good marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Professor Muralidhar was my HOD, who is helping me a lot during my semester periods. He is also one of the department staff with 10+ years of experience. All the other teachers are also well experienced and friendly too. I am well in touch with all my department faculty members, and they are still giving me support, as I am well known already inside the department and campus,
Internships Opportunities :
From lab sessions and practical exams to on-site surveys and industrial visits (IV), we had a good number of curriculum-based activities to develop our expertise in civil. This way, while other engineering departments had around 4 or 5 toppers, right now we have around 12 to 15 class toppers. And that’s only because of our subject knowledge.
Placement Experience :
Unlike the other colleges, our structural department is still welcoming government and private companies for campus recruitment. Believe it or not, I got placed in a Mumbai-based construction company right after completing my UG here. But since I wanted to become a structural engineer, I denied the offer. Now, I am awaiting the right opportunity to knock on my career door.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees are very affordable here. To be honest, this is also another reason for me to pursue PG also at MVJCE. But I am not aware of the total fees to be paid for bus facility takers. My friend is staying in the campus hostel, and he also says that the fees are quite nominal for the facilities offered to them.
Campus Life :
Apart from whatever I have mentioned, the best part for me is this - I am also a student of PG, structural engineering, plus a prominent face with the alumni network association for the budding civil engineers. I can’t think of a college in Bangalore that gives privileges like these to the students.
