Remarks

ROI is the best compared to other elite institutes of the same league as DoMS, IIT Roorkee. Also the placements are also up to the mark . So I decided to jon here. The admission is based on CAT scores, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. various educational websites also provided positive reviews from the alumni of the DOMS IIT.NIRF 2020: Ranked 'ONE' in 'Research and Professional Practice' parameter under management categoryQS 2020: Ranked 'ONE' in 'H-index Citations' parameter under the subject Business & Management Studies in India

Course Curriculum Overview

DOMS, IIT Roorkee has the dual specialization in Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human resource management and Information technology. The multi-dimensional and constantlyevolving curriculum is the peculiarity here. The faculties are highly qualified . The faculty student ratio is of 1:6.25, which is good for students.

Class Size: 95Course Fees: INR 833000 per year

Placement Experience

In 2020-22 summer placements , the highest stipend was INR 180000 and average wa s INR 50160. KPMG, HCL, Infosys, Kognetics, Hexaware, Wipro, AirPay, Analytics Quotient, ThoughtWorks, Sify, monocept, etc are some top recruiters. The final placements usually takes part in the last semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

INR 833000 is the programme fees for MBA two year. Students can avail educational loans from SBI and Punjab National Bank from the campus as a financial aid for financially weaker students in continuing their learning.

Campus Life

The campus life is some times so hectic with the large load of academic schedules. The hostel life was the best. The cafeteria, library, classrooms auditorium, labs all are the best and having the state of the art facilities. The clubs , programmes , events, are helping the students to be more social in their life and to interact with the diverse batch of students.

UPES MBA REVIEW (pov: a new student so no biases)

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.

"What I wish I knew before admission"

Placement Experience:

Just after one year completion of the college students get opportunity to be seated for college placements and companies start coming every second or third week to the campus, but even if they are selected for the company, they were asked to go for job in their last semester or may be after completion of college in some cases. Many companies including Deloitte,KPMG, COPSOL, amd 100 more have come to the college and taken students as per their needs, but each company takes 2 to 8 employees and sometimes they don't take students as they need students according to their preferences for their job role. Highest package has been offered till 21 lakhs to student for finance role in the company and average is around 5 to 8 lakhs of packages are there for students for different streams, most companies provide visited in campus are for marketing where the job role is mostly management trainee where they atleast get 5 lakhs of package plus incentives in their job. College was previously affiliated to other university named UTU(Uttrakhand technical University) so students used to get less percentage, maximum percentages used to around 85 to 90% , and only tier 1 companies used to ask for more than 75%. My plans are clear to get placement from the college as I have invested myself and money to the college so I can get good understanding of the course which helps my career, so I want a good placement in marketing role which will be best for me.

The course and curriculum is very much relevant but the good faculties are not there as they are not able to handle the class it self. They are very less experienced to handle pg students as of now there is a very much lack in the implementation part. The kpmg part is only good as industry person as kpmg employees teaches they divided the class into 2 parts to handle the large class

Placement is done on the basis of percentage criteria. Only those students are counted as 100% students who fit in there criteria. Avg package is 6-7 lakh lowest is 3-5 lakh highest package is 60-80 lakh but that is only for btech. MBA here gets the highest package of upto 9-10 lakh only

From the 2nd last sem of the course students are eligible for campus placements, most of the startups come. Like hike education , Learning routes , Jaro education also some of the MNCs like ITC , Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini certain banks also come for hiring like Axis,Bandhan Bank. 9 LPA is the highest package for MBA and average is 5LPA 80% students were placed in my batch I am planning to pursue my Doctorate ahead in year 2025

I applied for this position through the IIT Roorkee website and paid an Rs.1600 application fee. Admission was made solely on the basis of merit and personality. Actually I did my graduation from NIT Delhi and also wanted to maintain my MBA standard upto that for which IIT Roorkee was a great option. Management department of this institute is known for its high placements and also has AICTE approval.
