An onlinne visit to Gurukula Kangri Vishvavidyalaya

Remarks :

For my admission, the basis was my graduation performance as only 50% were required minimum to attain the seat for MBA. If you have a gap between graduation and MBA admission then you have to fill a declaration form giving the reason for the gap. For admission, I personally contacted the college website and after few days of applying, I got a call from the college side for the next steps. A few days later I got a mail for getting my application accepted. The fee structure was also mentioned there and also they offered a little leverage for submission as this was pandemic time. The rest of the process as smooth as the coordinator staff was very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is less based on books and more based on practical field experiences. There I a big library in which we can get any type of book regarding the syllabus or famous biographies. The faculty on the campus is very helpful and they greet all our queries with a smiling face they often present live examples to make things easier to get. Passing the exam is not tough if you have attended the classes regularly. Teachers support learning and give extra classes for required weightage to important topics.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure is quite good and affordable. College also provides a hostel facility on the boy's campus but you will be charged extra for this. You will and around 40000 per year as hostel fees. As their girl's campus recently shifted from Dehradun to Haridwar, they don't have such hostel facilities for the girls but as there were online classes recently, we didn't get any trouble due to this. The rest of the fees structure was as below For MBA/MBE 100000 INR per annum For MBF 50000 INR per annum In terms of MBA, it is much affordable as many institutes take a while the big amount of money in terms of tuition fees.

Campus Life :

There are many fests which are conducted in our college. Usually on 4th March, a program used to held in our college as our college get established on that day only. Many online webinars and fests, competitions,s, etc are being organized by the faculty for students' motivation. There is a separate entity that works for sports on campus. The classroom is quite good in size to accommodate 60 students and is properly ventilated. There is the provision of cricket, volleyball and many other games in our college with suitable courts for each game. Currently, I am in a club named CHARBANIC in which every type of competition related to debate, art, and the online games is conducted.

Entrance Preview:

The only exam that I had to give was CAT but it was a hard nut to crack. As my score in CAT met the cut-off this college, I received a call letter on my e-mail as I have earlier applied over here. I had to also go through a personal interview round and then got a final admission. All my academic documents and financial documents were also verified.

Placement Experience:

In the 4th semester, the companies started visiting the campus and prominent of those for our course were HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. The average salary offered was in the range of 35-40k a month. Nearly half the students from our batch were placed and I became a stockbroker now but took some experience by working at HDFC securities for a couple of years.

Admission:

Personal interview and the group discussion are the two rounds that you need to clear in order to get admission here. You need to be aware about your course and some questions from your past job/ internship are also asked (if you have done any). Some personality questions are asked as well. Be confident and answer.

Placement Experience:

The placement part is best in GEU. After the 2nd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Capgemini, Deloitte, Infosys visit our campus every year for campus placements. The highest package offered to students was 32Lakhs PA and the average package was about 4Lakhs PA. Every year 90% of students get placed in a well reputed company with a good package. If you study well and work hard, then you can easily get placed in some good company. University helps students a lot in their placements and also in their personality development, so they can crack all the interviews easily. My plans after getting the degree are to become a Financial Analyst in a well reputed company.
