What's New in SMVDU?
SMVDU Admission 2024 is open for B.Arch./ B.Plan courses based on JEE Main scores. JoSAA has released the Round 3 Seat Allotment Result and the last date for fee payment is July 08 (5 PM). Further, the Round 4 results will be out on July 10 and candidates can pay the fees till July 15 (5 PM). Students can check the SMVDU JEE Main Cutoff 2024 here.
Other Updates are as follows:
- GATE CCMT Round 3 Seat Allotment Result is out for SMVDU MTech Admission 2024. The deadline for online admission (PI Reporting) by depositing the partial admission fee is July 06 - 10 (by 5:30 PM).
- The results for Round 3 Allotment are out for SMVDU M.Sc. Admission 2024 via CCMN counselling. The deadline for online verification of documents for admission is ongoing till July 05. Further, special round registration dates will be notified soon.

SMVDU is ranked 101th among the engineering institutions and among Top-20 architecture schools by NIRF 2022. SMVDU offers various courses in UG, PG and Doctoral courses, such as BTech, BArch, BA, MA, MSc, MTech, MBA etc. SMVDU, Faculty of Management has two constituent departments: the School of Business & the School of Economics. SMVDU Placements
SMVDU Katra has a training and placement cell that provides excellent facilities that help the graduates get placed in top companies. The cell provides helps to the recruiters for pre-placement discussions, conducting tests & interviews and other assistance from the campus team. According to the report, around 23 recruiters participated in the 2020 placement drive which is the highest number of recruiters to participate compared to the past years. More than 150 students got selected by reputed recruiters. Infosys made the highest number of placement offers. Other recruiters include TCS, ICICI Prudential, Wipro Ltd, ICICI Bank, Ericsson Global, EZMATA Technologies etc.

SMVDU Scholarships
SMVDU has scholarships for aspirant candidates. But the candidates need to score a CGPA of 7.50 minimum with no backlogs in each semester to avail themselves the scholarships.
For BTech:
- Up to 30,000 AIR(CRL) in JEE Main: Full Tuition Fee Waiver for the first 5 semesters.
- Above 50,000 & up-to 1,00,000 AIR(CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full Tuition Fee waiver for first 03 semesters.
For MBA:
- Above 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year & 50% Tuition Fee waiver for 2nd Year.
- Between 85 to 90% in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for 1st year.
- Between 80 to 85% in MAT/CMAT: 50% Tuition Fee waiver for 1st year.

Admission process is very simple, smooth and it tooks very less time . Application forms ,fees and application dates all are available on university website in a detailed manner. Their is no reservation benefits for students in this university and benefits are provided maximum to jammu and kashmir students . Admission process does not need any improvement as the benefits of reservation are not provided.

- The walking distance is somewhere long distance as student has to walk a distance to their hostel or playground from the main campus

Eligibility of the course was to score 50% marks in 10 + 2. All the forms and details we can find on the official page of the University. The difficulty level is moderate. CUET was the entrance exam in which I appeared for admission in this university. The thing I didn't like was it was Chaos. Sometimes they say that they'll take admission on the basis of a 10+2 grade and sometimes on the basis of entrance exams.

- As an architecture student studying the architecture of the university was a nice experience.

- As the university is situated in a remote part of the country getting exposure is a fantasy.
- Transportation within the city is extremely bad.

There many ways to get into the collage but the three most prominent ways are cucet, jee mains and nata there is also a test the uni its self holds. 90 plus u have to score for nata examination to get addmition in the collage.

- Faculty mostly consists of professors who have done PHDs from IITs or from here only but none of them knows how to teach
- The university is located in a remote area transportation is the most pathetic aspect.
Admission:
The eligibility for the course was either jee mains with a percentile more than eighty-five or ninety if you are from general category and the second eligibility is cuet with physics maths english score considered. Additionally, you need to have a class 12th degree with physics, chemistry, maths. You can apply for the college from their website. By filling in all the necessary details after that once your name comes in the merit list you'll get a mail regarding further instructions. There are a lot of reservation quotas although I have not availed any. There are only three exams conducted and they are nit that difficult mostly if you have solved previous years' question papers it's a piece of cake.

I got the admission through jee mains examination the cut off criteria of this institute is 85 percentile. The application process can be governed through the SMVDU site. They take admission through their own entrance examination also. The admission process through their own entrance is quite lenghty. They need work on that.
