Remarks :
The admission in the MTech of NIT KKR is based on the process of MTech counselling CCMT organised by one of the NIT every year. The basis of counselling is your GATE Score. There is category-wise seat distribution. After the allotment of the seat in the college, a date is assigned for the admission and submitting fees and apply for a hostel if want to. The process is smooth and guided at each step by the faculty of NIT. I am a general student so there was no quota as such. I applied to this college only at my first priority because of the trade and college. The basis of admission is gate score and one can see the last yr cut off from the CCMT website to analyze once status for the current year. The fee of admission is submitted online also at the time of admission through net banking or UPI or ATM also.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of the specialization of IP in its mechanical department. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:17 for MTech. All the faculties are PhD holders and at positions of asst. associate and professor post. Few ad-hoc PhD holder faculties are also appointed to help in the teaching. The teaching is very detailed and faculties often use a projector room or conference room for the teaching. Industrial visits are made to research labs and industries nearby like Karnal, Chandigarh, Delhi for the students. The exams are timely taken and the syllabus is decided by the faculty. The questions are framed by the faculty and checked by him/her only. However, the question type varies every time and faculty adhere to the pattern of the question paper decided by the dept but he can modify it according to the course need.
