Entrance Preview :
I took IIT JEE MAINS exam ( AIEEE) in the year 2013, and scored 200 marks in that exam. I opted for this college because of the great reviews by some relatives and friends.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum of Nit Kurukshetra is up to the mark for research purposes, but needs some up gradation with the development in technology. in this regard the college faculty is working hard to upgrade the syllabus of the courses.also developments in the laboratories is being done tp improve the practical experience.
Internships Opportunities :
The college provides internship to students who are well deserving for the industrial internship. General stipend is around 10000 and the experience is great in the industry. Companies like RBS, Alstom, LNT, etc. visit for internship every year.
Placement Experience :
The placement of the college is very good. Around 90% of the students get placed from the campus itself.Companies like Maruti, Honda, Microsoft, RBS, FLIPKART, etc. visit the campus every year with job opportunities. All the companies offer different pay package, ranging from 5 lakhs to 30 lakhs.
College Events :
There are many events celebrated in the college around the year. Firstly there is a technical fest ALTIUS and a cultural fest TALENT SHOW, for the fresher students. The BIG level college festivals include TECHSPARDHA ( technical) and CONFLUENCE (cultural) in the odd semesters which are conducted at large level. Apart from this we have Annual sports meet CITIUS every year at large level.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure of the college is feasible. The annual fees is around 50000 for a hostel student. In the last few years, the fees for the fresher students is increased to around 90000 per year. Apart from the annual fess there is mess bill for the hostel students which varies from student to student.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college offers some scholarship facilities to the deserving students. The notice for the scholarships are are provided on the notice boards timely which the deserving students can avail.
Campus Life :
Campus Life at Nit Kurukshetra is great. It has different clubs to enjoy the college life. Different dance, singing, debating, sports clubs are active in the campus all round the year, which the students can be an active part of. The facilities for the clubs are up to the mark and the faculties give full support to the students.
Alumni/Alumna :
The college seniors are are really helpful and friendly. The ALUMNI meet is held every year in the college in which the alumni from our college come and share their wonderful experiences.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure of the college is good. We have sessionals twice in one semester and final exams once every semester. The exam pattern is good. we have around 1-2 days gap between consecutive exams which gives sufficient time for preparation. Also there is only one exam every day, which is not very hectic for the students.
Admission :
The notification detail was released in July 2013, after which I had to fill the application form. After this, the admission process started in the opted centre. Mine was Nit Kurukshetra itself. Counselling and admission were done according to the ranks on the allotted counselling day.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is, no doubt, very good. Most of the professors are themselves from reputed colleges (IITs and NITs). The faculty of the college is very experienced in both teaching and industry purposes. All the teachers of all the departments are very hard working, nourishing the minds the students.
