The IIT Edge in MBA

The reason of choosing the institute was the brand value and global recognistion of IIT group. The institute was ranked 12th by NIRF,2020 rankings all around India. It has also been approved by both AICTE & UGC. Admissions to MBA program in the institute are done on the basis of CAT exam score, work experience & Interview performance

The reason for choosing MBA was both my interest and the increasing demand of management studies. Being a part of the prestigious IIT group of the country, the faculty here is among the best. Around 22 faculty members are there in management department of IIT Roorkee. The 2 year MBA program consists of 6 terms and offers wide amount of exposure about management domain.

It was among the most important parts of the program. The internship avails us to get the best of exposure about industrial working and I was lucky enough to get a decent internship offer during the round by KPMG. It had a duration of 8 weeks and there were without a doubt the best learning days for me.

Totally 82 offers were made to our MBA batch of 2018-20 by the 35 visiting companies. The prominent names present for the drive were Airpay, Infosys ,,KPMG, HCL and Wipro. The highest package bagged by my program was INR 18.68 LPA and the average package stood around INR 10 LPA.

DOMS, IIT Roorkee is having a fee structure comparable to management departments of other IITS across the country. The total program fee is INR 8.33 lacs which includes tuition fee of INR 4 lacs within it. The institute offered different academic performance as well as economical conditions based scholarships to the students under the criterias set up by the government.

The best part about the Institute was its campus life. It has major events like Cognizance, Regalia, Avenir, Sangharsh and Thomso. The college has quality books, ebooks and journals across different technical and management domains. The prominent clubs of the institute are VyavaHR, MarkIIT and Vittarth while Sports & Media cell were also there.

Being a part of IIT Roorkee, it's not easy to get admissions here because the cutoff for admissions goes around 94 percentile. Applied candidates are firstly shortlisted by the institute on the basis of CAT score and work experience. Those candidates are then called to appear for the Interview and the students performance in all these rounds was referred for final selection of students.
