The management study department of IIT, Roorkee offers MBA programs in different specialisations. The institute was ranked 12th all over India by NIRF in its 2020 rankings. It has been approved by both AICTE (All India Council For Technical Education) & UGC (Union Grants Commission). Admissions to the program are based on CAT score, work experience and Interview round performance.

My rate of interest was quite high in the management field that is why I opted for MBA. As we know, the faculty of IITS is the best across the country and there is any doubt in the quality of education. There were a total of 23 faculty members in the management department of IIT Roorkee. The course duration is 2 years and it introduces students with different aspects about management studies.

No, I was not able to become a part of the internship round due to some serious health issues. Thus was not able to get the working experience of industries. But i got to learn a great amount of things from my batchmates who worked in the internship.

35+ companies participated in the campus placements of our 2018-20 MBA batch . A total of 82 offers were made to the 77 students of the batch.The highest package bagged by our MBA program was INR 18.68 LPA , while the average package stood at INR 10 LPA. Some of the prominent names present during the drive were Infosys,HCL,KPMG, Airpay & Wipro.

The total program fee of MBA at DOMS, IIT Roorkee is INR 8.33 lacs & the tuition fee expenses of INR 4 lacs was included within it.The institute offered different types of scholarships and financial assistance to the needy students under the government rules. Merit-based scholarships were also provided to the deserving students

It was a very important part of the institute as the campus events worked for the overall growth of students. Avenir, Sangharsh, Regalia , Thomso and Cognizance were the major events organised annually by the department. The library consisted of quality content in books, journals and ebooks across different domains of management. MarkIIT, VyavaHR, Vittarth were the prominent clubs and Sports, Media cell were the most famous committees for the students.

There were 10 boys and 3 girls hostels for the residence of students.Single and double sharing rooms were available to the students .All the rooms were facilitated with the best of facilities for the students. The food served by the hostel mess had a great taste and good options from cuisines from across the country were there.

The applied candidates are firstly shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT and work experience. The cutoff for IIT Roorkee goes around 94 percentile. The shortlisted candidates were then called for the Interview round and the overall performance in all the rounds was referred for final selection of students.
