Maharaja Agrasen institute of Management Studies

Remarks :

I gave the IPU entrance exam and got 1301 rank and my choices were evening shift in VIPS and Morning shift at MAIMS considering the costs and travel distance and morning classes, I chose MAIMS as my college. I didn't avail any quota. The admission process is dependent on the ranking in their entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as I had no real interest in any of the courses after I passed 12th, According to my personality journalism and Mass Communication was the best course for me. I don't know about the faculty and student ratio. I think many of the teachers are good and their teaching methods are also very unique. In many colleges, in MAIMS teachers support, however, they can, and provide what's best for us. I respect that they are able to teach us so well. The term exams were very timely according to the six-month schedules and it wasn't very difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

I have no idea about internships provided as most of the companies that come to this college are start-up companies and the stipend is very low as compared to the workload.

Placement Experience :

The placements are very average like most colleges do. Most of the students getting placements have a percentage like 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to wait for a while and study for TOEFL and IEFT while also learning French and animation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Because I have a batch joined in such a good time we didn't encourage the fee Hike policy very much. We still pay the Normal 82000 amount every year. I haven't got any scholarship financial assistance or job through my campus I have to work for it myself.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is very good the students are well mannered and really helps calms the environment around me. The annual fest is very good, they put a DJ in the main ground area every year and we have fun dancing & nearby food every time in that fest. The main College fest is conducted in February in our college, There are many different annual events, according to the course which is conducted by them. In my classroom, there are amenities like fans, a blackboard, clean washrooms as well as an air conditioner in every class. There are many books and journals available in the library to read approx 20k+ (Minimum), I didn't play sports so I don't know much about sports in extracurricular activities, there are many social groups and clubs run by the students such as sports club that football club chess club, there are also many events clubs like inizio 21 brandwagon club, and many societies like Bizmind.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Journalism Honours, this course very practical based which requires real life exposure. Faculty is preparing us from the 1st semester for real life exposures we have given assignments like real life industry. I think the course should be more practical based rather than giving 5 assignments like a burden give 1 assignment with a plenty of time that requires a detailed research with gives student a chance to really involve in the assignment and do the work. Exams happen every 5 months, and the gap for preparation in between exams is plenty good.

Placement Experience:

College somehow lacks in conducting the placement drives. The management needs to work on the placement area. Even though a placement drive is happening during the covid with the help of links and emails but a face-to-face discussion and interview had its own advantage. Also, the college should conduct a seminar for students for understanding the tactics during the placement drive.

Admission:

GGSIPU conduct common entrance test (CET) for admission process. To be a part of (CET) firstly I filled the form of (CET) around mid of may. After the result announced of (CET), there was three round of counseling. In the counseling process firstly I prefer colleges on the rank basis then there was three counseling round.

Placement Experience:

In the matter of internship they do not provide any internship and also do not guide about the internship. At the time of admission, they make fake promises to provide an internship.
