Entrance Preview :

I started going to SIT on Aug,2016. I had took JEE mains examination and scored 49. I opted for this particular college because it was near to my house and had a lot of facilities. They have some good and experienced faculties which benefits me.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's the best. We are generally focused on industrial practices and also have some down to earth elaboration about some the things which will be used in the future where we are to work.

Internships Opportunities :

Well our college provide internship but since i m a first year student, i have no idea about how good or where we get internships.

Placement Experience :

According to most of the faculties and seniors the jobs and placements will depend on how hard we guys perform.

Campus Life :

Campus life is hard since we all are exposed to a new surrounding and atmosphere. So it will take some time to adjust to it. The labs and sports and all the those extracurricular activities are great. Heard a lot about those things from our seniors.

Exam Structure :

Our exam structure is a bit new since BPUT introduced a new pattern starting this year. Its a bit complex but still looking forward to it.

Faculty :

The faculty here are great. They look after the students as their own children. They are strict but they also have a funny side too. All i can say is that the faculties here are way more helping and strict than any other colleges.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
