Remarks :

Studies are held highly in this college but students needs and other infrastructure development are required. Counseling advisor are required and some active participation in hostel groups are required.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is fairly tough and requires some effort for clearing effortlessly all papers. We have 2 internal exams each semester and then a final semester exam. One has to obtain a total of 25 out of total 50 to clear the internal. External semester are controlled by BPUT board.

Placement Experience :

Placement are decent with a placement rate of about 70-80%. Our college allows internship but I didnt got one.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Little bit expensive compared to other colleges being a private college its expected to get this much fees but the canteen system is little bit rigged and seems like they are knowingly charging more without equivalent commodities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I don't know about this. I have not opted for loans or scholarship in they college.

Campus Life :

Labs are conducted regularly and with strict supervision and guidance of lab faculties. Basketball and volleyball are mainly played with other colleges or other sports tournaments. Cricket is also practised seriously for tournaments.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are good but a little small. 24/7 water facilities are available for drinking with geyser for winters are also available. Warden are strict and mindless fellows who like to interfere in everything. Food is average with nothing that tastes above average.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are the life savior here, they are the easy guide in how to cope up with this mad world and keep showing new ways and tricks to make life simpler and easier. Seniors are very helpful and yes they are harsh at starting but they are the ones having your back always.

Admission :

I applied for Odisha jee entrance exam and got a air rank of 426000 and applied online through jee results. After that I was shortlisted for ECE branch and joining letters were emailed. After a brief round of document verification I got admitted.

Faculty :

Faculty are qualified and professionals which have completed their degress and PhDs thoroughly. They are very cooperative and helpful in times where some studies requires help. Most of them are friendly and encourage nurturing environment.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. Remarks:

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
