Remarks :

I have applied for Tezpur University but I didn't make it there and the second college was Assam Institute of Management. No, I haven't availed any quota. The admission criteria of our college are a minimum of 50% in graduation. Fine arts graduates are exempted. SC/ST applicants with a minimum of 45% marks would also be eligible. The college accepts the scores of common entrance tests like CAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, XAT. The minimum MAT score needs to be 500. Admission to AIM is through a three-tier selection process comprising of a written test, group discussion, and personal interview.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always dreamt of pursuing MBA from a good institute after completing my graduation and I couldn't find a better college than AIM. Because AIM is one such college that deals with MBA only. It also provides dual specialization which means you can choose more than one specialization. There are almost 8 faculty members and the capacity of this course is 60. Every year the institute gets a full admission. Each faculty members of this college are a PhD holder and they are highly experienced and knowledgeable. They are also very friendly towards every student. The semester exams are held mostly on time but due to this Covid Pandemic it got delayed and the difficulty level is medium.

Internships Opportunities :

For internships companies like Asian paints are invited also students can get internships on their own by using the platforms like Internshala and LinkedIn. They can do internships both in private and public companies.

Placement Experience :

From the second year, the students are eligible to seat for campus placements. Companies like Airtel, Asian paints, ICICI Bank, Vishal, Axis bank etc makes a visit to this institute The highest placements offered in this institute is Rs. 6.05 Lakhs and the Average is Rs. 50,000 90% of the students get placed under campus recruitment. I'm going to start my own business if I don't get into any campus placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Grand total fees for two years MBA course is Rs. 4,05,000( it also includes caution money which is refunded after successful completion of the course). There is no specific kind of scholarship available in the college. And I'm still in the 1st year so I haven't sat for any placement yet.

Campus Life :

The institution does not particularly organize any fest but they organize AIM Cultural night. Recently AIM organized a cyclothon event in March 2021 for the very first time. There are lots of books on MBA subjects available in the library, old journals, Computers with wifi facilities, etc. The classrooms are smart classrooms with a microphone and a podium in each classroom. AIM organizes Sports week in January every year which includes sports like Cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, Running race, tug of war, etc. Both the girls and boys enthusiastically participate in these sports events. There is a page called "AIM Confession" on Instagram where the students of AIM have the access to confess anything anonymously.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for choosing the MBA program was due to the highly knowledgeable academic person/ mentors as well as the placement graph. The faculties were very cooperative. The faculty-student ratio is 2:1. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and has good academic profile in terms of Academic & industry. Basically, they give emphasis on the case-to-case study so that students can gain practical hands knowledge. The examination was prepared in terms of class tests, Mid sem exams etc. which help students to clear the exam in one sitting

My college provided placement to almost 95% graduates in top companies like Kotak Mahindra, HDB, Vedanta, Vodafone, Nokia, Google, Tata Motors, etc. The average salary package offered was 4 lakhs. and the highest was 7.2 lakhs . My institute also has a placement cell that conducts workshop to guide us through placement process of several MNCs. They help to prepare for interview, projects, internships and resume building.

Remarks:

The application process for this college began with the completion of the college entrance exam. Other national-level examinations, such as the CAT, SAT, and GMAT, were also approved. After that, a merit list was released, followed by counselling and a personal interview. I had to submit my 10+2 results, including my degree marksheets, as well as my ID proof and passport-size pictures for admittance. The application cost was INR 2000, which I paid. I opted to study here out of all the colleges since B schools are very costly and I came from a middle-class household, so I felt this institution would be the greatest fit for me because, at the end of the day, an MBA degree was all that mattered to me. Plus I live in Guwahati, so Tezpur is pretty close to my homecity.

Placement Experience:

Our campus' placement rate isn't the best, but it's also not the worst. The placement cell does everything it can to link us with recruiters and find us jobs. The average annual salary is between 3.5 lakhs and 10 lakhs. Wipro, HCL, Apollo, ICICI, Axis Bank, and HDFC are among the many firms that often come.

After the 5th-trimester students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies that visit AIM for recruiting including Asian Paints, ICICI, Airtel, HDFC, etc. The highest package was 12 lakhs per annum whereas the average package was 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. My plan is to be an entrepreneur.
