Remarks :

Due to COVID, admission was fully online. All applicants were supposed to fill up an application form and submit all the relevant details on the official website and pay an application fee. After that, they would email/call you to inform you about the PI session to be held. The PI session was online and GD was not possible due to the Govt SOPs. During the PI, 5 panellists would ask you different questions based on your educational background and overall general awareness. After the PI session ended, we were supposed to submit a write up on a topic given by them. That concluded the PI process. After a few days, a list was uploaded on the official website of the institute as to who was shortlisted. We had to pay the admission fee of 80k to confirm our admission if shortlisted.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because of the placement it offered and because I have heard about the teachers being excellent from my friend studying there. The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:13 which is pretty good. The faculty are highly qualified with all of the permanent faculties possessing a PhD with years of industry experience. Each of their teaching styles is excellent and we can easily relate to them because of how friendly they are. They feel like family after a while because of the attention and care they put into each one of the students. The term exams were on time, although some of them got delayed due to the COVID pandemic. Other than that it's pretty easy to pass if you study hard. And me being an average student, the faculties inculcated my interest in studying properly which helped me glide through the exam.

Internships Opportunities :

Asian Paints, IOCL, ICICI, HDFC, Reliance Life, and various other companies provide internship opportunities in various fields like HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales etc. Some of them dont come with a stipend. Although you are free to find your own internships. I personally landed a WFH internship introduced to us by one of our faculties with a 10k monthly stipend.

Placement Experience :

The placement rate of the college is well above 90%. With companies like ITC, Nestle, Coca Cola, Amul, Godrej, Reliance Life Insurance providing excellent packages. The average package offered is around 4 LPA with the highest around 7 LPA. My plans after getting the degree are to get a good job and to set up my own business after a few years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee hike policy is the same as other colleges with increments every year of hardly 10-15k. The cost to study is a bit high compared to govt colleges but it makes it up for it with the quality of education provided. I didn't get any scholarship, Financial assistance & Job on campus with a stipend because I haven't finished my course yet.

Campus Life :

So we have this annual AIMQUEST. It's a management fest where there are games based upon management and quizzes. There are various other seminars and workshops as well. Although everything took a hit due to the COVID pandemic. The library is well equipped with all the required books. One can easily collect books to prepare for exams and there are sufficient nos of books for each student. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned with well-equipped lighting. There's a large whiteboard and also a projector screen along with a mic'd up the podium for faculty to give lectures on. There's a desktop with internet access in the classroom which can be used by the faculty to give lectures as well as students. Connecting the projector to a laptop is easy as well. The whole campus along with the classrooms have WiFi although its use has been limited due to bandwidth issue. There's not much sports equipment. Although we recently had a sports week which was funded by the college.

Interview Experience :

As we didn't have a GD due to the COVID pandemic, my interview questions as far as I can remember were SWOT analysis of the Guwahati Market, How would you hire a salemen for lower Assam areas and what criteria would you use. I was asked about the MLA of my constituency and the newest district added to Assam. I can only remember these three. There were various others. The criteria for eligibility is a minimum of 50% in a bachelor's degree except for fine arts with it being 45% for SC/ST. Final year graduates are also eligible to apply for admission. Candidates must have appeared in any of the following tests: CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA & XAT. To be frank, I just prepared a SWOT analysis on myself and just winged the interview. I didn't prepare much. You just need to be self-confident. Having a little bit of General Awareness and knowledge from your degree days helps a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for choosing the MBA program was due to the highly knowledgeable academic person/ mentors as well as the placement graph. The faculties were very cooperative. The faculty-student ratio is 2:1. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and has good academic profile in terms of Academic & industry. Basically, they give emphasis on the case-to-case study so that students can gain practical hands knowledge. The examination was prepared in terms of class tests, Mid sem exams etc. which help students to clear the exam in one sitting

My college provided placement to almost 95% graduates in top companies like Kotak Mahindra, HDB, Vedanta, Vodafone, Nokia, Google, Tata Motors, etc. The average salary package offered was 4 lakhs. and the highest was 7.2 lakhs . My institute also has a placement cell that conducts workshop to guide us through placement process of several MNCs. They help to prepare for interview, projects, internships and resume building.

Remarks:

The application process for this college began with the completion of the college entrance exam. Other national-level examinations, such as the CAT, SAT, and GMAT, were also approved. After that, a merit list was released, followed by counselling and a personal interview. I had to submit my 10+2 results, including my degree marksheets, as well as my ID proof and passport-size pictures for admittance. The application cost was INR 2000, which I paid. I opted to study here out of all the colleges since B schools are very costly and I came from a middle-class household, so I felt this institution would be the greatest fit for me because, at the end of the day, an MBA degree was all that mattered to me. Plus I live in Guwahati, so Tezpur is pretty close to my homecity.

Placement Experience:

Our campus' placement rate isn't the best, but it's also not the worst. The placement cell does everything it can to link us with recruiters and find us jobs. The average annual salary is between 3.5 lakhs and 10 lakhs. Wipro, HCL, Apollo, ICICI, Axis Bank, and HDFC are among the many firms that often come.

After the 5th-trimester students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies that visit AIM for recruiting including Asian Paints, ICICI, Airtel, HDFC, etc. The highest package was 12 lakhs per annum whereas the average package was 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. My plan is to be an entrepreneur.
