Remarks :

1)Apart from the college that I m currently studying I also applied for a Master of Commerce in Tezpur University, Assam where I have been selected but I didn't go for that because I wanted to pursue a professional course then I also applied to Assam Institute of Management where I got selected for the MBA programme and thus I took my admission here. 2) No I didn't have any quota for admission. 3)The admission criteria in my college was first through CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT marks. 4)After that minimum marks criteria then GD was usually conducted but in our times since because of covid everything was switched to an online mode so only PI was conducted which lasted for almost 20-30 minutes per person and thus after that the final selection was made.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1)I chose MBA because I wanted to enhance my career in the field of Management and enter into the corporate world. 2)There are 6 permanent faculties and 2 guest faculties: There are 67 students. 3)The teachers are highly qualified and are the best. Every one of them is PhD holders with a minimum of 2-3 years of corporate and non corporate experience. They are very friendly and we can call them to reach out to them at any time we want to clear all our doubts. They are the best teachers I found in my entire career. 4)Our college has a Trimester system. There are 6 trimesters and each trimester exams are conducted after every 3-4 months. It's not so difficult to pass although the time period is less if we continuously follow up with whatever is taught in the class it's not so difficult to get a good score in exams. Also, there are internal marks for each subject for which we have to give presentations and viva.

Internships Opportunities :

1) There are various companies which come for internship for the post of marketing, market analysis, product manager, HR post. The companies visiting are Asain paints, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Marico, etc. The student also searches of their own through various platforms like LinkedIn, Internshala etc. The internship is for 2 months and the stipend varies from one organization to another average is like 10,000-12,000 per month. 2) There are various projects given to the students like market analysis and survey and study of customer behaviour etc and students can actually have practical experience after that. We will be better in a position to explain that when we will be in 2nd year.

Placement Experience :

1) we will be eligible for placement from the 4th trimester i.e. from the 2nd year. Also, there is a pre placement offers for students performing extremely well in their internships. 2)The companies that visit every year are- Asain Paints, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, AXIS Bank, SBI Life, North East Small Finance Bank, Marico, Ekart, Vishal Mega Mart etc. 3) Highest placement is - 6.5 -7 lakhs per annum ( Sales Associate)provided by Asain paints and the Average is 3.5- 4 lakhs. 4)95% 5) To get a good placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1) The total fees here is 4,05,000 which is divided among the six trimesters and we have to pay the money on an instalments basis. Term1- 83,000( including caution money), Term2- 61,000, Term3- 61,000, Term4- 78,000, Term5- 61,000, Term6- 61,000, The cost to study is a good comparison to the fees as we are provided with physical books, as well as online access and the fees of MBA here in comparison to other Institutes, is quite reasonable. 2)No I didn't apply for any scholarships. Also, I m a first year student so I have not been placed yet.

Campus Life :

1) There is a freshers programme in August, Then there is sports week in January, Saraswati puja in February and farewell for seniors in June. Also AIM cyclothon in January. 2)There are lots of books and journals available in the library and it's very easy to access these using the library card. 3) The classroom is the smart one, air conditioned with smart boards, Projectors etc. 4) There is AIM sports week where there are a list of very interesting games played both indoor as well as outdoor. 5)There is a social group on Instagram run by the students and also various groups including placement committee, cultural group etc.

Interview Experience :

1) There was no GD held in our time for the admission process because of the prevailing pandemic. We were selected through PI only. The PI was divided into time frames and we were allotted the time accordingly and it was conducted through the zoom platform. It lasted for about 20-30 mins per student. 2)There were various questions like - "Tell me something about yourself, hobby, extra qualities", "Tell about any project or any work you did", Questions based on my education background like "what is marginal costing in cost accounting", and some case studies were provided and I had to analyse and answer to them. 3) Another criterion was that we were given to write an essay on a particular topic. The topic was provided instantly and we are to submit it in word document within 30 mins after the interview is over. 4)I prepared through some YouTube video's though none of the questions was common.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for choosing the MBA program was due to the highly knowledgeable academic person/ mentors as well as the placement graph. The faculties were very cooperative. The faculty-student ratio is 2:1. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and has good academic profile in terms of Academic & industry. Basically, they give emphasis on the case-to-case study so that students can gain practical hands knowledge. The examination was prepared in terms of class tests, Mid sem exams etc. which help students to clear the exam in one sitting

Placement Experience:

My college provided placement to almost 95% graduates in top companies like Kotak Mahindra, HDB, Vedanta, Vodafone, Nokia, Google, Tata Motors, etc. The average salary package offered was 4 lakhs. and the highest was 7.2 lakhs . My institute also has a placement cell that conducts workshop to guide us through placement process of several MNCs. They help to prepare for interview, projects, internships and resume building.

Remarks:

The application process for this college began with the completion of the college entrance exam. Other national-level examinations, such as the CAT, SAT, and GMAT, were also approved. After that, a merit list was released, followed by counselling and a personal interview. I had to submit my 10+2 results, including my degree marksheets, as well as my ID proof and passport-size pictures for admittance. The application cost was INR 2000, which I paid. I opted to study here out of all the colleges since B schools are very costly and I came from a middle-class household, so I felt this institution would be the greatest fit for me because, at the end of the day, an MBA degree was all that mattered to me. Plus I live in Guwahati, so Tezpur is pretty close to my homecity.

Placement Experience:

Our campus' placement rate isn't the best, but it's also not the worst. The placement cell does everything it can to link us with recruiters and find us jobs. The average annual salary is between 3.5 lakhs and 10 lakhs. Wipro, HCL, Apollo, ICICI, Axis Bank, and HDFC are among the many firms that often come.

After the 5th-trimester students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies that visit AIM for recruiting including Asian Paints, ICICI, Airtel, HDFC, etc. The highest package was 12 lakhs per annum whereas the average package was 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. My plan is to be an entrepreneur.
