Remarks :

DMS IIT Delhi is one of the prestigious colleges for MBA. It is constantly ranked top 10 as per NIRF ranking for Management colleges and ranked 1 for Research, AAA+ ranking as per TIME Institute, 5th in QS ranking. Moreover, the location of Delhi attracts a lot of corporate for placements. DMS is better than most of the new IIMs in terms of educational excellence, placements, location, opportunities and quality of faculties. Although, since it is part of IIT D most of the activities are controlled by central IIT D Administration, thus slowing down the process. Semester system affects major International collabs. It also lacks IIM tag and fame among commoners. Admission form opens a day after CAT results. CAT Scores, academic background & record, gender, form SI Score with is the criteria for shortlisting and WAT, PI along with SI Scores decides final selection at DMS. Global Field Study program, wherein all students visit the International Institute adds to diversified learning of students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is diverse in nature. First-year is common and students get to choose their specialization in 2nd year, which gives ample knowledge to decide a career path. DMS follows a case study pedagogy wherein learning happens through various cases to promote cognitive thinking. Faculties are highly qualified with high H-index. The faculty-student ratio is 1:4, which allows good learning for students. DMS follows Semester system, with 2 minor exams and 1 major exam in each semester. However, evaluation happens throughout the semester through class participation, term papers and case studies. Mostly application-based questions are asked in exams which requires practical applications of theoretical concepts taught in class. All the exams are easy to pass. DMS follows a relative grading system for final CGPA calculations.

Internships Opportunities :

Summer Internships takes place between May and June. Companies start visiting the campus in October. The average stipend offered by the companies is 1.5 lakhs for 2 months. The companies offer diverse positions to interns. DMS witness companies from all specializations, thus providing enormous opportunities for students to choose companies of their own field of interest. Students at DMS also bags internships from various corporate case study competitions. Internship process takes place in 2 phases.

Placement Experience :

Final placements start in the month of November. Many MNCs, startups, foreign companies and companies from different sectors visits the campus for summer internships and final placements as well. Placement activities take place in 2 phases. Profiles offered by the companies are at par the positions offered to IIM and other B School graduates. Almost 100% of the students are placed every year. Highest placement goes up to 32 lakhs, the average is 22 lakhs and the median package is 20 lakhs. The figures are almost the same for all the specializations that DMS offers. There are enormous opportunities for students of each specialization. Overall placement scenario at DMS is good.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution Fee is Rs 9.96 lakh for whole MBA. Including hostel fee, mess fee and other charges MBA from DMS will cost not more than 12 lakhs for 2 years. Merit-based scholarship opportunities are provided by the institute wherein 100%, 75% and 50% discount in fee is given to the top 3 students of 1st year. The average stipend for summer placement is around 1.5 lakhs for 2 months and average CTC for final placements is 22 LPA. Thus DMS is the best college in terms of ROI.

Campus Life :

DMS have many 10 student-led committees and 4 clubs that perform various activities throughout the session. The annual fest "Parivartan" sees various sports events, cultural events along with case study competitions, celebrity nights, panel discussions. Parivartan is usually conducted in February. Building India Inc. is the Business Summit organised by DMS during the month of March. Keynote sessions, Idea forums, Conclaves, B-Plan competition are the main events of BII. Conclaves, BLLs, Sports activities take place throughout the session. Since we haven't visited DMS due to COVID hence I can't really comment on amenities in classrooms etc. However, e-library, access to journals and datasets were provided to all students for better learning.

Hostel Facilities :

Since batch 2020-22 haven't visited the college and hostel yet, hence I can't really comment on the hostel conditions. IIT Delhi has 11 boy's hostel and 2 girl's hostel in the campus. Every hostel has its own mess. There are many canteens, coffee shops, juice shops to rejoice the taste buds of students.

Interview Experience :

Although for 2020 admission there was no GD/PI conducted, however, I have attended DMS's admission rounds before the lockdown was declared due to COVID. My place of the interview was IIT Madras, Chennai. We were given the topic "What investors should look upon before investing in a startup" for WAT. The interview lasted for around 30 min. The panel of 2 senior professors took my interview. Basic questions on concepts of Mechanical Engineering (my graduation) were asked, followed by HR questions like long term goals, expectations from MBA etc. Most of the questions revolved around SOP that we will during registration. Few Guesstimate questions were also asked during the interview. I was enrolled with TIME Coaching for GD/PI preparations. They have conducted mock GDs, GEs, PIs, WATs etc for preparation. Reading newspapers, current affairs and articles on burning topics will surely help for preparations of GDs and WAT. Confidence is the key for PI.

Other Applied Colleges

SCMHRD, Pune | MBA

The placements and facilities for my area of interest, student:faculty ratio less as compared to DMS IIT Delhi.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the colleges is very nice after the internship gap after that we have semester 3 and while we are in semester 3 the companies start approaching us domain wise so if one is into marketing they will have so many options and is there into operations we have very few companies so it's a thing in the college but if you are someone who isn't place the college will take care all though they provide enough companies like in internship in my batch we had around 40 companies and I feel like in the placement they also help a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a MBA student. I wanted to do it for my own father's company. But I've faced a lot of issues in my 1 sem. Also i would like to tell about the teacher of QT because of her i got a back in my exams. Improvements are surely required because most of the students fail in QT. I've asked from my seniors too there is no management for this subject. Also the exam level was high because we didn't knew what even the syllabus was

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for final placements in third semester and summer placements in the first semester itself. We have many big names here in the campus JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, etc. Almost all the students get placed here. I'd the percentage is above 90. The highest placement offered was 26LAC+ and the average stood at 14lacs. I am currently intern at a company via the college placements and am working towards getting a PPO. If I get one, I plan on staying in the same company.

Placement Experience:

College offers its students placements which makes them give a loud shout-out. Although the placement process is hair-raising, the results are out of the league when compared to the rest of B-schools. Please check the placement report in detail from our website, because my words won't be able to do justice to the results we have.

Remarks:

My experience with the USMS IPU institute was pretty exceptional. I would definitely recommend this institute for whosoever is looking to pursue a master's degree in the region. Admissions are on the basis of the entrance exam organized by the university, itself. Infrastructure is world-class and everyone is pretty supportive here.
