Remarks :
The placement records were good, and I believe attending college in Delhi will provide a very good exposure in terms of interacting with industry personnel. The college has excellent pedagogy and professors which makes learning interactive and highly engaging. The cons would be having the department running under the Central IIT’s administration makes it hard to run freely.
Course Curriculum Overview :
IIT Delhi is known for its technical expertise and as an Engineer, I found this as a right platform to pursue a managerial role in the technical domain of corporate companies. The faculty-student ratio is pretty good with about 1 faculty and 2 teaching assistants for a class of about 55 students for each course.
Internships Opportunities :
Personally, I got placed at Gamasec which is a cybersecurity company currently expanding its presence in India. The interview process was very chill and I haven’t started my internship yet. The role offered was a consultant.
Placement Experience :
One of the MSPs of the college is the placement records. The average stipend is 15 LPA which is commendable for colleges in this league. The summer placements went really great and the entire batch got placed within about 5-6 weeks.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is pretty reasonable when compared to the IIMs in the same league. I haven’t experienced a fee hike since I applied or after having attended the college. I do not have a scholarship but in the second year, top 3 scorers of the first year will get financial rewards up to 1 lakh.
Campus Life :
Parivartan is the annual fest conducted in the month of February. There are plenty of books and journals available in the library for each course and the digital resources are very useful in pandemic times.
Interview Experience :
Yes, usually the admission process comprised of Written ability test and personal interview which I attended at Chennai, one or the centres. I undertook the help of the institute where I enrolled for the CAT mock tests.
