Remarks :

gauhati university located into the metropolitan city of assam guwahati, it is the oldest university of assam. The beauty of this university attracted to each and everyone. It's a dream educational hub for the students of assam that's why i also choosing this university for my higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Botany is my major subject in graduation. And then also i am choosing this subject because i want to go for further higher learning with this course. And GU botany department is very nice as i have found and faculties are also good.

Class Size : 19Course Fees : INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience :

I have well known many of my seniors from our department getting job, some are doing research. So there are lots of scope but it's upto students whether they can able to grab those opportunities or not. Teachers also very much supportive and they giving us good guidance.

College Events :

Campus life is really joyful. There are sufficient laboratory in our department, there are also a departmentmental library aswell. I have got many new experiences after joining in this university, there are film festival, literary festival, basanta utsav, versity week, convocation, youth festival.

Placement Experience:

The college holds a high placement rate with a significant percentage of Students security jobs before graduation. The college attracts reputed companies e.g. google ,microsoft , bajaj, oracle,barclays , grow ,etc. for campus placement including top multinational corporations and leading firms in various sectors . Total 164 offers were made by 59 companies during last academic year(2022-23). In addition, IIT Guwahati students have already received as many as 214 pre placement offers during the academic year 2023-24. The highest package this year is 2.05 crore per annum. Placement rate is 72%. My plan is to get a good pre placement offers before my graduation .

My college experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

One sessional exam and one semester exam per month reduces the burden on the students. Seminars are compulsory and they carry marks according to our curriculum and that helps us to improve our presentation skills and improve our public speaking skills. The sessional exam is not that hard and you can score well in semester exam if you solve previous years question papers.

I like physics so much that's why I chose this course and the faculty member are very friendly they helped us with every problem .there are 4 faculty members .there qualification is they all have PhD degrees. the teaching method is very good. there are sessional exams before the finals and it's is easy enough to pass if u study the regular class and attend regular classes.
