Gutka is spitted casually in few areas(it's not much and the students are accountable for that)

Course Curriculum Overview :

One sessional exam and one semester exam per month reduces the burden on the students. Seminars are compulsory and they carry marks according to our curriculum and that helps us to improve our presentation skills and improve our public speaking skills. The sessional exam is not that hard and you can score well in semester exam if you solve previous years question papers.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 7200 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you have an income certificate and your income is less than 2 lakhs annually you can study free of cost, without having to pay for admission and semester fees. You have to submit a photo with a tree.

Campus Life :

We have two Freshers- one that is organised by the Union and the other one is organised by the department. Apart from that we have recently celebrated a sort of language festival. There is a gym for boys but not for girls yet. We might get a gym for girls soon.(I hope so)

Admission :

The department of chemistry in my college is strong. I have applied in one university apart from this one and that was Tejpur University. The number of seats for general was just 11 and unfortunately I couldn't make it.I haven't applied in any other colleges apart from TU and Tinsukia college.

Faculty :

The number of teachers in the department is 7 and number of students is close to 60.I have chosen chemistry and the chemistry faculty is friendly and approachable. Apart from the semester exam we have one sessional exam, it's not that hard.

Interview Experience :

No it was soley based upon your merit i.e the percentage of class 12.They do focus on the marks of subject that you want to major in.I registered through the samarth portal and merit list was released by the college.

Night Life :

There is a gym for boys but not for girls. The library is big and we have a reading area. All sorts of educational books are available. There's dominos that's not really that far from the college and there's a local hotel just near the college.The college starts at 9am and if you are from science department classes might go on till 3pm.

Assam University Silchar Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements I guess. Companies like Infosys visit here. Avg package is of 4.5 L per annum. Higher the academic performance of a student, higher the chance of getting placements

The course curriculum is so good and they provide so many departments. I took admitted to the Chemistry department because I love chemistry and the teachers in our department. The non-teaching staff is as good as the teaching staff. In our batch, there are 65 students and all are friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like physics so much that's why I chose this course and the faculty member are very friendly they helped us with every problem .there are 4 faculty members .there qualification is they all have PhD degrees. the teaching method is very good. there are sessional exams before the finals and it's is easy enough to pass if u study the regular class and attend regular classes.

Admission:

The admission process of the college in very simple. An online form is released by the college and after filling all the required information the final list of selected candidates is released by the college. After doing all the needed formality a student is eligible to study in this prestigious college.

Placement Experience:

Big companies and industries come every year to hire the students across the country. Also, many students apply for the further studies and the college reputation is very good in that terms. The college prepare the students from very starting about the organisational behaviour as well so that a student won't face any difficulties while appearing for any job in further years of their life.
