Very good infrastructure, supporting faculties, many scopes and opportunities to grasp.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Exams are conducted according to the KTU structure. It's the same for every engineering college in the state. It is a well maintained education system with adequate number of faults on its own. Course related outcomes are the main practice implemented in the teaching, which makes it easier to understand. Every class gets a sanctioned IV visit of their choosing once during the course.

Class Size : 600Course Fees : INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience :

Numerous amount of companies arrive every year for recruitment and the percentile of students getting recruited are very high comparing to other private colleges.

College Events :

Cultural festival is held every year within the college premises. It gives an opportunity for every student to showcase their talents in any of the events possible. An inter college art fest is also held once in every 3 years. Workshops, literature fests, internship activities etc are all available.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's a bit expensive but at the same time also affordable. Additional fees such as bus fee, library charges, canteen fees, lab fees etc. The mode of payment are either cash or card. The process of payment is a tricky process as it involves filling of unnecessary forms.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since the college is run by the federal bank, applying for education loan won't be a big issue. Various scholarships are also available for students from different backgrounds and grades.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is almost the same but with a slight increase in the boys sector. sports and activities are available for the students. Frequent tournaments are there for the students to participate. Various debate competitions across the city to take part in.

Hostel Facilities :

I haven't opted for using the hostel facilities. But as found, it's a well maintained structure with clean rooms and adequate spacing. The fees is also affordable. The timings are not so strict in the boys sector but it's a huge nightmare for the girls.

Hostel Fee : INR 7000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

A lot of social clubs are available within the campus where interactions among seniors and juniors are seen more.

Admission :

Admission through management quota. Students are required to write the Kerala entrance examination and with that marks apply for the college, if the marks obtained doesn't satisfy the college need, management seat is possible. Fees will be higher as compared to merit fees.

Faculty :

Adequately trained teachers with vast experience in their respective fields. Proper amount of faculties are available at every department. Highly skilled and talented so the clarification of doubts would be made clear to every student approaching. Language barriers are also taken care of.

Placement Experience:

there are placements in every years but not every one gets it. because every one has less skills rather than coomparing their marks.becuase of their lacking of skills they have ended up being placed undeer companies which offer less salary.but some got good options also.and my collge is in a rural ares so not so many companies gets here

Yeah they do have placement here and they prefer their students more which is good and most of the time they give placement as teaching assistants. Sometimes only in the plant but mostly it's for TA and especially if you are doing your masters here it is so good

Pros and cons of NIT CALICUT

Placement Experience:

Qualcomm, ibs,Infosys etc visits. Highest package was 55 lakhs. Average package is 20 lakhs. Nearly 100 % placement in computer science engineering. After degree joining get a job through campus placement.

Remarks:

Good government University with better placement opportunities, infrastructure and good educational environment. Fee Structure is feasible and the university is stands apart.

Placement and job opportunities are fairly good in my college. A lot of good companies come for placement drives every year but it mostly depends on the student themselves. Companies like cisco,MuSigma, Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, Larsen and Toubro and many more come every year.
