Remarks :

I wanted to pursue ECE from the start and joined smit for fulfilling it , I never felt regret for joining such a wonderful family of teachers and heads . I received a 100% scholarship so I joined the college without any doubt on verifying its good placement records and complete facilities

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty are highly qualified and hold doctorate degrees . They help and guide students in projects and any other problems.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I have got an opportunity to do internship in south central railways because of the recommendation from the departmental heads and faculty

Placement Experience :

There have been many many companies coming every year to smit , I have faced several interviews during my final year and even got placed in GSG

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee right now might be somewhat above 3.5 lakh , i received a full tuition fee waiver for my intermediate results during admission

Campus Life :

there are plenty of opportunities in smit in terms of co curricular activities and sports , it has a sports complex known as marina

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel services and rooms are really good and sufficient for a comfortable stay and study during our college term.

Hostel Fee : INR 4 per year

Interview Experience :

it has 2 entry schemes - one is through ManipalOUET test and smit conducts its personal screening test too.

My admission and life at SMIT

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active and well equipped to bring recruiters from diverse group of organisations. The pre final and final year students are allowed to sit for interview. The highlight this year for me was Mercedes Benz hiring a student from Mechanical Department giving a very high package. A good chunk of people get placed every year. I am also looking forward to placement opportunities on campus, I believe there'll be enough opportunities.

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

I have chosen this course because this course can help me learn both the coding and electronics part. Faculties are well qualified but sometimes they are not able to explain the things and sometimes they also avoid our doubt if we chok in the middle. We appear for three term exam in every 2 months. Some subjects are very difficult to pass because we are unable to understand them in class

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester, the college has on-campus internship options and after during 7th semester, you will be eligible to sit for campus placements. Many companies come for campus placement including IBM, NVIDIA, Deloitte, etc. PLacements for CSE, ECE, and EEE are very good. In 2023 highest placement was from EEE of 44 lakhs from NVIDIA. In Mechanical most of the students get PPO. For Civil, very least options are available. Usually, 80% of students get placed every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the courses are very good here. All faculties have done phd in their respective domains. There are at least 4 lab technicians in one lab. There are all types of labs available. Teachers are very friendly. We get funds for our projects from our college.

My college overall experience!

Placement Experience:

Several companies come for campus placement. Third years are elligible for summer internships and fourth years can get placement + Internship offer for the last semester internship. The college provides us with pre-placement training which is very helpful which I'm currently undergoing. The placement record of the college has been satisfactory till now. We also get sessions from alumnus who tell us their experience and guide us through their experience. The placement drives can be improved hope for more companies and more opportunities to be given to every students.
