Remarks :

My mother and her brother passed out from thapar polytechnic. She thought it would be better for me to start my professional education as soon as possible and it will later help me when i enter Btech. I did find hard to study subjects like chemistry and physics but was always interested in computers, so thapar polytechnic gave me a way out from school and i still can persuade my dreams without going through +1, +2 and jee. So overall i thought it was a good choice as the subjects here make a lot more sense and are practically easier to imply. Similar subjects are taught in btech so it'll give me a slight advantage over the students who are doing it for the first time. I think i made the right choice.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Everything is just fine. The teachers are good and the environment is quite strict. There are almost no extra curricular activities, so we can improve on that. some of the first year teachers are not up to the mark and should be changed as they make it harder for students to adjust in the new environment and are not that good at teaching or problem solving. But as the second year starts i have to admit thapar polytechnic does have some excellent teachers. The labs should be upgraded as the computers are way too old and slow to run the latest applications.

Class Size : 54Course Fees : INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience :

Thapar polytechnic does have a good image as its one of the best polytechnic colleges in the north. I dont have much knowledge about the placement after diploma as i have future plans for myself, but ive heard that its good.

College Events :

We didnt have any events, extracurricular activities, or anything like that which is actually of interest. The science fare was good and helped students to rise and show their talent. But other than that we didnt get to do much. No festivals are celebrated. Nothing!

Campus Life :

There are no competitions. We share the sports equipment with thapar institute. The library is good. Wifi is good. The computers should be upgraded in some labs as they are way too old. Infrastructure has a large scope for improvement
