The admission process was very easy. I got admission on the basis of the marks that I obtained. There is no quota system. The admission is offered on the basis of the marks. The minimum marks for admission 60% and above. That means the minimum marks should be 60%. There's no age limit to apply here it's just the student should clear the 12th standard. This college offers a Pathways program, where a student came to opt for any course that is not related to the stream he/she chose in 11th and 12th. I have opted for 2 years from CIIS and 2 years from Thompson Rivers University. I am expected to appear for the IELTS exam this year for visa purposes. I didn't opt for any counseling. I came across this institution because my cousin was also studying here.
I have applied for Thompsom Rivers University, Canada last year but due to the pandemic I opted for distance learning and CIIS provides pathway programs. So, this was a really good deal for me. I didn't have to spend more and was staying at my home and was studying. I had to do to the campus in January'21 and there I met students from other fields too. My counselor suggested to me about CIIS and even my family members who stay at Fatehgarh. My counselor was from WWICS. The admission criteria were very simple, I got my admission on the basis of my marks because I scored 90+. I didn't even have to give an interview. I was selected on the basis of my marks.
This College provides a pathway program to foreign universities/colleges. Moreover the study pattern here also matches with the study pattern of abroad institutions. The environment is very friendly and helpful as a student would like to be.
College is overall good. Everyone one is supportive there facluty also help you solve problem college organise seminars for student to help them in college but yes i would say not all get placed in the college it is upto your capabilty
ALUMNI network is good yes they are really helpful the senior junior relationship is friendly. My experience with seniors is very good actually, they have always helped me in the difficult times they guided us to the correct path at every moment i required help.
It’s a good college with probably the best possible facilities for fields. Professors are really good. Mostly they are friendly and approachable for any problem. Research opportunities are really awesome. Some professors even send students to foreign for internships. It’s a pretty cool experience over there.
College is best of all in fatehgarh no doubt in that. You will feel like home or you can say just like a family here. Everyone is helpful here. You will never feel alone. And best thing no ragging problem here. I don't think the college has any bad thing just a little problem of water but rarely.
The Seniors have a good relation with their juniors and behaves as older brother and sister. There is no ragging or bullying of students in college. The seniors helps a lot in studies if asked to do so,and actively participate in every event to make the events a success.
I guess alumni network is good , during the gatherings there used to alumni meet and I remember noted alumni of the college sharing thoughts. It used to be inspiring to hear them.
I've learned much more languages and in detail during my BBA. MBA course was more on management side and i didn't find it much useful.you will not gain any useful knowledge which is required in industry. i will suggest if you are from Punjabt then please do it there.
