Remarks :

I wanted to do B.Tech in my hometown itself so this seemed the right option to me. Also, the college is economical and in my family's budget. The faculty is good, but the infrastructure is not up to the mark. Talking about placements, well there's nothing to talk about placements. The grading system isn't good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good enough. No, we weren't provided enough industrial exposure. The faculties of civil engineering are good. The classes are held in an engaging way. The syllabus is also updated yearly.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is actually good enough. The teachers in the placement cell are also very enthusiastic. But the problem is that due to poor grades which is because of the no so popular grading system, students lack skills. The ones who have been placed till now have done it only because of their hard work and teacher's help.

College Events :

The campus life events are good. But there's so much nepotism going on in the campus during cultural festivities. The fests held by the college are not up to the mark because the management is poor which is obviously due to nepotism.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

IIT-JEE 2016 , AIR 6629 , IIT guwahati is a college. It has its name and fame. So i chose it because it has all the facilities like co curricular and has a beautiful campus to stay at.
