Remarks :

It is one of the prestigious colleges of Assam. It's in my hometown so it was a natural choice for me to go there. The Faculties of the History department was very nice. They provide a friendly environment. The department gave us the best three years of our life. Along with studies we had the opportunity to explore ourselves to different areas of interest.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course was pretty well updated. The books for the subjects were available both offline and online. Yes, we were taken to historical site during our 3 year course. The faculties were one of the best. Cannot just name one.

Class Size : 38Course Fees : INR 3000 per year

Placement Experience :

TCS visited our campus for placement in my final year. Out of 300 students 51 students were selected for the post of BPO. I was one of them. Although I didn't join there but I was happy to be selected. It was a good job for a graduate student. But I hope there are more campus interviews and placement offers for students with a good pay scale. The pay scale should be a little better.

College Events :

The campus life was very good. I will cherish each and every moment I spent there. We used to have a lot of activies going on. The college is the place where I found my love for art. It helps the students shape their future and also know their interests in different fields other than studies. The college provides a very friendly environment.

Campus Life :

The infrastructure was well developed with very nice classrooms. The library at our college is one of the well known. We had a lot of co curricular activies so the sports facilities were nice. There is a well built indoor stadium where students go and play different indoor games. The walls of the indoor stadium was beautifully painted by the students itself.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. So i found this course is helpful for me.

Placement opportunity a lot from the course for government job aswell as private sectors. Many of our alumni getting jobs in different platform, some of them are having research, P.Hd, some of them are doing their own firm, for the end last semester many of the NGO's companies visited offered us to getting internship and after the successful completion of it we will getting job.

Remarks:

College management is good and really helpful the mess food is not so good also that canteen in our college is so pathetic. the infrastructure of the college is really good and the teaching is also really good placement is patient or college need to work more on skill building of the weak students.

Admission:

For BTech we have to give JEE mains exams so according to ranks there will be admission in this college. There is no management quota or any other mode of admission in the BTech for MTech or PhD there is direct interview based admission. First we have to give the exam for JEE mains then we have to sit in the counselling for getting the seat in the college.
