- Well known college in the jorhat city. Friendly environment and well developed infrastructure.
- Friendly environment for animals too. There's NGO for animals which provide best care to the animals.
Dislikes
- Lack of hygienic washroom available for girls.
- Some of the classroom contain defective electric fan.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I find this course quite interesting . I love to read since my childhood. Along with it, the college is best for this course. Professors did best to provide their best to the students. Department held seminars and webinar for the students so that, they become well prepare to achieve real world pursuit. They can include digital method of studying . Exams are held frequently , after one month of starting class, exams would start Question are critical but not too tough, if we concentrate on class, we will obviously do great in the exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise fees-26000( approx) Odd semester:admission processing fee-400, Establishment fee -900, college development-800, department development-1500, library fee-400, electricity fee-450, college calendar-100, identity card fee-80, campus maintenance-100, health aid-100, student union-150, magazine fee-150, games and sports-100, festival-100, career counselling-70, tution fee-9000, examination 200,laboratory fee-2000. And even semester we have to pay only tution fee of 9000. The fee structure is same for all since MA is self finance course in the college I am not aware of any scholarship available in the college.
Campus Life :
No annual and technical festival are held. Sports week is held twice in every year. It can be considered as a college festival where student gets the opportunity to showcasing their talent. Apart from this, freshman social, farewell programs are held. Library is the good source of knowledge. There is central Library where we get enough books and journals. Apart from this, library provide us the N-list, which provide important journal and articles relevant for our research field. There are department library also. We have all the facilities in the classroom. Electric fan, electric light, digital screen etc. There are facilities for sports and extracurricular activities in the college. College provides the opportunity to go to the intercollege tournament. Departments like, NCC, film studies help to meet the interested students with their expectations. A number of group of student run social groups and NGO's which ensure to give best care to the needy people.
Admission :
I did my graduation in the same college. I didn't apply for MA course in other college. This is best college for English literature so that, again i chose this college for MA course over the others. Apparently i apply for Bachelor in education course in Dibrugarh university, due to lack of preparation i didn't meet the minimum mark . So that, i continue with this MA course, which is my best decision. Entrance exams are held for admission. For apply in the college one should have minimum 60%.once cleared the exams, by looking at the overall percentage and the marks that the student gets in the exam, the selection process will do. My admission experience was good, as i easily get selected for the course.
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio include-1:8(per department). Faculties are friendly and easily approachable. Faculties of techinal team, faculties of our department i like the most. According to me, they are the best faculties. They encourage the students for their well development. As i said, the examination controlled board seems quite rude to students. There's three exams held in per semester. Exams are not too easy not too tough. Course curriculum is relevant to every student. 20%students fail to clear the exams.
