Entrance Preview :

NIFT entrance examAlways had a inclination towards knowing fashion and it took me to the behind the scenes of working in this industry.Never thought would be a part of thi Institute where creativity meets technology.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Absolutely awesome. Though NIFT campuses are smaller than any other national institutes but the bonding that is created between people in college is nowhere else found.

Internships Opportunities :

We didn't work for stipend but for experience. Generally major companies like decathlon, Raymond, madura etc come for internship and I as a student was happy to be working with them.

Placement Experience :

Placement scenario wasn't as good back then but recent times it has improved drastically. Though during my placements too, my batch got 100% placement though some of them left for higher studies or changed there job later on. But avg package was around 3 lpa for graduates which was a handsome amount back then.

College Events :

We had four clubs out of which I led Cultural Club for four years as Secretary, President and Senior Advisor and I had great time doing so.Events keep on taking place regularly in and out of college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Loan facilities are given by banks at thebtim of admission. You can contact college administration for it. I didn't avail any loan for my studies.

Campus Life :

They were awesome. As I wrote above we enjoyed our time. Learn and play at the same time. Free and frank environment. Nobody is restricted to speak out. Express yourself and enjoy .

Exam Structure :

We had exams semester wise and assignments while year around. You can't escape from it. But it was a learning experience.

Placement Experience:

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
