Remarks :

Although the faculty in our college is quite good,it would be great if we could rope in many other good teachers and professors from other good institutions as well.

Entrance Preview :

IITJEE, I had scored approximately 90/180 in the IIT JEE mains examinations. I opted for this college as it was/is one of the best in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was quite hectic initially in the first year. A lot of courses and credits had to be covered. From the second year onwards, things became more and more manageable.

Internships Opportunities :

At the end of my third year, I got a chance to go to the University of Trieste, Italy to work on Receiver functions in the field of Computational seismology. It was a great learning experience with able guidance from my professor. The stipend for a 2 month period was close to 2000 euros.

Placement Experience :

The placement senior in our college had always been great. In my batch too, around 90% students were placed after the first round of placement. Companies like Schlumberger, Shell,Mckinsey, Deutsch bank, ZS Associates etc were amongst the highest payers.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

When I entered college, the fee structure used to be quite cheap and manageable some 26000 inr for a semester. Gradually it increased to about 40000 a semester when I was in final year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For students whose family income is below 2 lack per annum, our college offers a handsome scholarship and a significant waive on the tuition fees.

Campus Life :

Gender ratios in iits have never been good. In my batch it was around 20:1. There are a lot of cultural societies for people who want to pursue their hobbies like photography, dramatics, swimming,debatics etc.

Alumni/Alumna :

Our alumni network is very strong. I am in touch with many juniors,batch mates and seniors of our college and it's a very close-knit group. We keep having alumni meets in all the major cities in India atleast once every year.

Exam Structure :

Exams were held twice in a semester, midsems and endsems. Surprise quizzes used to be held and some weightage of that used to be added to the final marks. Overall it was not very hectic.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college were very well versed and competent with their subjects and highly qualified as well. They were always ready to offer a helping hand to students who were slow learners.

Remarks:

The academics of the college, distinguished faculty members and patient load in a city like Kolkata and overall ranking of an old institute like RGKMCH, the teachers to students ratio and everything the institute has to offer

Placement Experience:

As doctor patient ratio is very poor in a country like India placements are 100% guaranteed after graduating. Job opportunities both in the private sector and in the government is there whatever you choose

Remarks:

I was selected according to my rank in neet pg 2020, through State quota counseling in westbengal.The college is situated in shyambazar which is a excellent place for communication.The college bis situated close to my hometown also.The faculties and seniors are very helpful

Placement Experience:

As I am postgraduate medical student,i have to serve bond in my state after completion of my postgraduate degree for 3 years.After that i have seen to place my seniors in many prestigious government and corporate hospitals.
