Entrance Preview :

AIEEE and I score AIR 3900. That time I choose this college because I was getting this only and I didn't have much options.

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies use to come there for engineering students like Wipro, IBM, TCS ETC. But for b.arch we had to go for off campus. Stipend usually go from rs 10k to Rs 25k.

Placement Experience :

Many companies like TCS, IBM, WIPRO, HCL,etc use to visit there and many of the student get good placements.They hire most of the student at good packages.

College Events :

Since our campus is very huge in size so many types of events use to organize there. Every year cultural programmes organized there. The campus have a big Auditorium, many seminar halls, a big stadium and fiels etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is loan facility but i dont know the detail of it. Scholarship offered every year only for the top two student of each branch.

Campus Life :

I must say one of the most enjoyable campus life i had there. Every month or two there was something for us to celebrate. Like hostel night, dj dance party, annual cultural and sports programme etc.

Exam Structure :

Exams are very frequent 3 times in one year but it was not hectic. Exam hall are good and the campus have labs which well equipped.

Faculty :

The faculty of this B.arch was very nice. They teach us in a very disciplined manner.They used to arranged many workshops and seminars time to time for us. I must say the university got nice faculty members in b.arch.

An budding Archi students take on smvdu

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always enthusiatic about design and maybe it was the driving factor in me choosing this course. The course is really well planned in this industry things only start to make sense after you start working on the ground. I would like to suggest to introduce a course on comunication for the student because i think its a aspect a majority of them lacks.

Collage provides you with placement and pre placement opportunities tho architecture and few other courses does not have this facility and one has to search for jobs on its own. The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like Amazon take students from the university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture course is more about creativity and practicality unlike other courses like B.TECH, BBA, ECONOMICS, ETC. which are available at this university. The faculty: student ratio is also quite good and the intake of students is less at this university. So the teachers are also able to concentrate on each student individually. The faculty currently in the architecture department is also highly qualified, most of the faculty members are either professionally working architects or have at least a master's degree from the best institutes in the country like IITs, SPAs, etc. As said before, architecture is more about practicality, so the faculty also emphasises practical work rather than just giving bookish knowledge. The term exams are quite easy and there is not much difficulty in passing them, but the main focus of students as well as teachers is on the jury held at the end of every semester.

Remarks:

The college life is great. There is scenic beauty all around the campus. It is like a dream campus. The negatives are that there are curfew for girls students to enter hostel gates at 8:00 pm while none for boys. There are rules of not wearing shorts in hostel mess for girls.
