The faculties here are really helpful and the peers are supportive.
As an architecture student studying the architecture of the university was a nice experience.

Dislikes

As the university is situated in a remote part of the country getting exposure is a fantasy.
Transportation within the city is extremely bad.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was always enthusiatic about design and maybe it was the driving factor in me choosing this course. The course is really well planned in this industry things only start to make sense after you start working on the ground. I would like to suggest to introduce a course on comunication for the student because i think its a aspect a majority of them lacks.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

the semester fees is 66000 & the 18000 extra charges . the hostel & mess fees is 20000 & 25000 . The scholarship program is for who top the semester or have more the 8.5 cgpa , there isnt really any campus imployment for student of my course.

Campus Life :

the overall campus is good , climate of the universty was something new to me but i found it to be good. There are clubs in the uni inspired by the five elements they mainly focus on the skills and extracuricullar activities they often compete with each and inspire one another.

Admission :

There many ways to get into the collage but the three most prominent ways are cucet, jee mains and nata there is also a test the uni its self holds. 90 plus u have to score for nata examination to get addmition in the collage.

Faculty :

As the teacher to student ratio is very low, it enables the teacher to work with their full potential and with a great effectivness. Majority of the facutly are high qualified and respected in their feild and they are really great mentors.

Placement Experience:

Collage provides you with placement and pre placement opportunities tho architecture and few other courses does not have this facility and one has to search for jobs on its own. The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like Amazon take students from the university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture course is more about creativity and practicality unlike other courses like B.TECH, BBA, ECONOMICS, ETC. which are available at this university. The faculty: student ratio is also quite good and the intake of students is less at this university. So the teachers are also able to concentrate on each student individually. The faculty currently in the architecture department is also highly qualified, most of the faculty members are either professionally working architects or have at least a master's degree from the best institutes in the country like IITs, SPAs, etc. As said before, architecture is more about practicality, so the faculty also emphasises practical work rather than just giving bookish knowledge. The term exams are quite easy and there is not much difficulty in passing them, but the main focus of students as well as teachers is on the jury held at the end of every semester.

SMVDU and it's Truth

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it is pretty interesting and challenging at the same time. You have to complete all your assignments, and design problems before the deadline and it is quite hectic. The faculty here is very friendly and hardworking. They give their best to teach us in every possible way. The student ratio in my class is 50:50. The faculty of architecture is well qualified with master's and PhD. There are three exams (Minor 1, Minor 2, Major exams) and one jury (only in architecture) in a semester.

Remarks:

The college life is great. There is scenic beauty all around the campus. It is like a dream campus. The negatives are that there are curfew for girls students to enter hostel gates at 8:00 pm while none for boys. There are rules of not wearing shorts in hostel mess for girls.

AIEEE and I score AIR 3900. That time I choose this college because I was getting this only and I didn't have much options.
