Entrance Preview :

I gave GATE exam with 98.11 percentile. To be very simple i am a delhiite for the past 26 years and getting a college nearby your place and that too renowed and prestigious, it was a cake-walk for me.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well my course was somewhat new as it was the first batch , the curriculum was good but the faculty was not up to the mark. I won't blame the faculty only because teaching is the only profession where customer (students) will be satisfied even when they don't get the services(studies).

Internships Opportunities :

The companies i applied for during campus placements were l&t, tcs, ibm, accenture, zycus. I did internship with my own efforts, it was a nice experience during the internship as a lot needed to be learnt.

Placement Experience :

The placement opportunities at delhi technological university are more for the graduate( b.tech) students rather than the postgraduates (m.tech) ones. Still many mtech students were able to bag the packages to the tune of 6-7 lacs. I was able to get 4 lacs with accenture and 5 lacs with a university(teaching profile).

College Events :

At delhi technological university you won't find festivals much. Although there were many non-popular technical and cultural festivals but the most prominent and happening was engifest. Its a annual festival with lots of activites . Many famous bands visit during this fest. Apart from this "troika" fest is also worth mentioning.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes the scholarships were available for the meritorious students . Although you have to struggle a lot and raise your voice to avail them . I availed the scholarship from ministry for qualifying GATE exam and also got scholarship for excellent academic performance.

Campus Life :

Campus life at our college was marvellous. A good crowd and soothing ambience made the life quite interesting there. There were lot of extracurricular activities like nukkad natak, music and technical competitions that made a student to grow and involve with the social life apart from the studies. The labs were adequate in number with up to date facilities and technologies available.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network was average as not many events used to organize to interact with the seniors. Although there was an alumni association through which you can get in touch with the senior students but it was not an outgoing one.

Before last year you are eligible for placements. Many companies visit at the time of placement like JN Street, JP Morgan, HFTs, Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, ITC, and many more. Approx 1200 offers were made throughout campus. Highest package : 3 crores per annum Average package: 15 lakhs per annum Jobs were offered in different profiles ranging from core, software, consult, product manager, and many more. Approx 85% of students were placed. To join the company for field work.

IIIT Delhi Review

Placement Experience:

The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement cell is professional and supportive and they guide us during the placement tenure. During our batch placement drive, around 120+ companies visited the campus. The highest package went up to 25 LPA and the average package was around 16 LPA. I also received a package of 18 LPA from Microsoft which was like dream come true. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Tower Research Capital, Mercedes Benz, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc visited our campus during the placement drive.

Its a Good College under Delhi Govt

Placement Experience:

From 3 semesters or in the final year students become eligible for placements. TCS HCL WIPRO Cognizant were some of the companies who came to our college and 15 offers were made there in our couse Highest Package offered was 10 Lacs and Average Package offered was 3.5 Lacs and lowest package offered was 2 lacs 60 Percent students got placed in our course and some students did not for placements as they were more interested in teaching and Research Field. My plan was to get a govt job or job in corporate sector as having a masters degree gives you some advantage in the govt exams In Case Student did not get any placements and then he can prepare for govt job and can do some course to keep him up to date with latest technologies in the industry and for better prospects

Remarks:

The campus is located in the NCR which provides it one of the best connectivity with rest of the country. Also it is located in one of the best locality. All the necessities hospital market metro etc are in close proximity ( also available Inside the campus). The campus is strictly bounded by the local colonies which and has almost utilised all of its land space so there is no possibility of expanding it physically which is now a challenge.
