Remarks :
SSPU has a good infrastructure and a catch for our eyes. Designed beautifully. The admission process is simple in which you've to submit 10 and 12th results and other demographic documents. I've preferred this college as it is among the very few colleges to offer Data Science.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to pursue stats basically then, later on, I came to know that SSOU (now SSPU) is offering Data Science course which has better opportunities in coming future. The ratio of Faculty to Students is around 1:70. Faculties ain't good enough. Management is somewhere this college lacks. They got to hire more experienced professors.
Internships Opportunities :
College offers both in campus and off-campus internships after the end of even semesters. The stipend is not paid for newbies though.
Placement Experience :
This year college is going to have it's placements for the first time, though they've provided internships from the first year itself. They ask us to perform well and good in internships so that we can get placed in the same company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees for this course is 1.93 lacks per annum which can be paid in two instalments. (July and December.) 10k being a refundable deposit in the first year which will be paid out after 3rd Year. They also keep 5k as medical insurance which covers 1 lack. They don't hike fees much though as they already charge high enough. Students with 90+% in 12th can get a scholarship which will assist them to pay only half the fees.
Campus Life :
College is highly active among hackathons. Over 1 lac E-books and 30k books are available in the library. Classrooms are pretty tidy and college is good in terms of hygiene but college lacks in providing sports facilities as they didn't get land from farmers to make one so, recently they made a small net with turf in it so that football and cricket can be played.
Admission :
50% in Class 12th or equivalent with Maths as a primary subject.
Interview Experience :
Interviews are pretty easy and are merely a formality. They pass on every candidate with 50+% in 12th. They mostly ask why this college and this course that's it.
