Remarks :
Small campus (the campus size is small but in next 4-5yrs a new campus is being build and its work has been started soo the upcoming students will find it best) and definetly I think the rank will improve. Sports exposure not so good. Ground too small. The best thing about the college is its academic and syllabus structure for thr different departments and the roots in the market.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Yes the curriculum of the college is well set as it was established in 1886 and it became NIT in 2004 soo everything is well fixed and settled over there and all the functionality of exams and Extra curricular is awesome. Only drawback with this college is the campus nothing else.
Placement Experience :
Its good as somewhat its ranking in national level college is not so high but moreover as its an NIT soo don't think much for placement over here but NIT passout in CV helps for ofd campus placement soo not to worry for placement just worry about the studies you do over here with all your heart.
College Events :
There is three events for sure arranged in our college. 1)Eccentrica 2)technical fest(4 -5 days) 3) cultural fest(4-5 days) 4)foundation day And some or the other way there is any other also done. This all the events are planned the students so that they can improve there skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Feasible, as its a goverment college soo there is a constant fees structure and for economically lower people there is fee recession so that they can bear is easily. For general student as my Tution + extra fees(Per Sem). = 67000/-. Hostel charges + mess = 26000/-.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes college offers but only financially weak students since I pay full fees so I am not elligible if any student goes to Inter NIT representing our college his/her fees got rebated as I have listiened but I am not soo sure about it.
Campus Life :
1:5 (Boys:Girls) throught out the campus. Campus is small but its awesome its have all the facility that one should have and just because of it you will never feel bad. There are lots of club too in this college and they also conduct lots of events clubs like ASME IEEE Hackslash, etc are active all the time and they are very helpful for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, the hostel rooms and mess facility is awesome of the college but any how its a mess you will never forget the food you got at your home but anyway i just think that its good and the location where the college is at the bank of river ganga is just lovely.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, the alumini network for this college is just wow. This was one of the prior reason that I opted for this college comparing FROM NIT AGARTALA as its not soo powerful in alumini as this college is soo old soo there are lots and lots of alumini throughout the world from this college.
Admission :
This is the national Level College which we get through JEE MAINS rank so no doubt it will be a great college. I always thought to pursue Mechanical Engineering and through the entrance which usualy takes place in month of april and the counselling in july I got this college and I am extremly Happy.
Faculty :
Excellent, the proffessor are supportive and they try everytime that the student got to understand the concept and they are very supportive in all the aspects like for any non-academic purpose also they support with all there efforts. Every department takes responsibility that every student are ready to face. The feedback system is considered very seriously by the students by our college this thing I like the most and the prof. Are also changing there habbit according to the feedback I just liked that nature of my college.
