Remarks :

The college is located in main city place in Shillong Meghalaya. The college has decent infrastructure with good facility and machines. But has less no. Of faculties with not so good faculties in some subjects. Overall a great college better then any local college with proper opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's semester base, each semester is of three to four months with midterm and endterm written exams and some tests and assignment in between, there are some mini projects also in different semesters depending on the course being taught in that semester and a final year project in last year.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 752000 per year

Placement Experience :

There a Centre of career development office in our college. This helps students' in availing internships in pre final year as well as placement in final year. There are number of companies which come for recruitment with different backgrounds like startup, marketing, network marketing and technical or core companies. I got placed in L&T Limited.

College Events :

There are two big event in college with several small cultural and sports events organised through the year. The two main events are cognitia which is technical festival of NIT Meghalaya, it occurres in around October and Shishir which is Cultural Festival of NIT Meghalaya, it occurres in around April.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible with scholarship based on merit and income basis. B. Tech is of 4 years with each semester total fee for general category student being 94000rs. College take it through online banking and through bank loan payment. College provide transparency with 62500 being tution fee and 16000 mess fee and then several other fees included getting the total to be 94000rs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship givien by Indian government on income basis, my family annual income is below 5 lakh per year so I get 2/3 rd fee refund of tution fee.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is awesome as we are in temperory campus so we live in city of Shillong with all places accessable. the gender ratio has very less girls compared to boys. In extracurricular activities we have several sports and cultural events throughout year. All the robotics event happens in technical fest COGNITIA.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, there are different building for each year as hostel which are on rent by college as our college is in temperory campus as of now in 2020. Hostel have sufficient capacity with each hostel having hostel president and mess secretary and maintainance secretary posts. Total mess fee is 16000 per semester with luch in college and dinner in hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The college started in 2011, it is fairly a new NIT in northeast India. But still has good facility and has few alumni in varity of places with connection. Senior always help and give directions for future.

Admission :

There is national level exam for engineering after 12th class which is JEE Mains, through which we get addmission in NITs. JEE mains is conducted with around 15 lakh students and only few thousands get admission in NITs, I was one of them. There are several rounds in which we get college we can either select it or wait for next round for college upgradation based on out list of preferred branch and college we submitted after getting our score and all India rank.

Faculty :

Faculty have chambers in college building we can meet them there and we have their mobile no. Also from college website to ask them if they are free and available. Faculty have there timetable so we can contact them in between their their free periods and after classes.

Northeastern hill university is it worth studying?

Placement Experience:

As i am a fresher I don't know much about the placement policy here but this year a senior from ece got placed in google for 32 LPA which is the best placement which i have heard so far. My plans are to prepare for the gate exam as the placement here are not so good (i just heard) so i came here for gate in my mind.
