Remarks :
College all above was good and it was a learn and play environment for the students. The management was strict,disciplined which made the students of the college ready for outside competitive world and molded them into real human beings.
Entrance Preview :
AIEEE-25142, OJEE-3254 I got admission through the combined ranks of these as there was spot counselling process. Every student has to reach a destination with all their certificates(10th pass certificate,birth certificate,blood group) as mentioned in the Rank Card and at the same spot seat is allotted to the students based upon their rank and reservation category.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum was of four years. My branch was Computer Science and Engineering which includes both the software and hardware related subjects in the course to the syllabus unlike IT which was having only theory subjects. In the Final Year, there were 2 projects(Major and Minor) which were also having a great role in campus placements.
Internships Opportunities :
College internship was during the final year summer vacation when no classes were in continuation. I was as intern in ESSPL for 2.5 months.
Placement Experience :
INFOSYS-198, WIPRO-114. Both the above mentioned companies were the Day 1 sharing company so they took the above mentioned figures in common .Apart from these the other companies were Capgemini ,Mindtree,Cognizant,Tech Mahindra, TCS,ADP,GGK Tech.The package for all the companies was around 3.0-3.5 Lakhs per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is a bit expensive and increasing for each new batch joining. During my time it was 98,500 for first year(including the caution money of 6000). And from the rest of the years, it became 92,500.It included tuition fees,bus fees and other facilities. Hostel accomodation and mess charges were different.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship was being provided by the State government- Medhabruti. Each engineering student studying B.Tech course was eligible for this scholarship but the amount was varying on the basis of caste reservation. So, the SC,STs got more money and the general people got less.
Campus Life :
Campus life was very good. The skill development activity and hostel parties were a part of daily life for the hostelites. One can get many number of opportunites for growing in many areas.
Alumni/Alumna :
College alumni was good but the real help was done by the immediate branch seniors. For the first year, they were a little strict(yes,ragging is a part of this institute). But from second year, they will share all their experiences and be very friendly for the students who are interacting with them.
Exam Structure :
The course consisted of 8 semesters. Each semester is having two class tests, one grand viva for each lab subject and one final semester exam for each subject. Some subjects are actually very tough if not proper attention is being given. And backlogs in these subjects can really be very hectic and cause problems for the students. So the best practice will be to work hard and clear them in the first attempt. For the semester exam, 30 marks are in the hand of college faculties and rest 70 are in the hand of University board. So equal importance is being given to both the parts.
Faculty :
Faculty of the college were good and to the point with the course syllabus. Any faculty in my department never forced any student to attend some lecture forcefully. Attendance was only taken for labs not for theory classes, which was I think the best thing about the faculties here. Because, they wanted students to learn and learn in the field of their choice.
