Samanvay Sharma's Review On Ram Lal Anand College - [RLA], New Delhi

Remarks :

It was situated near the South Campus Office and it was in a prime location with good faculty. Satya Niketan is nearby and there are many other colleges nearby. So the campus life is great. Also RLAC is internally connected to Aryabhatta College. Also Aryabhatta College is a nice place to chill out. The college focuses on the studies and it’s far from politics.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is fine but lacks a bit practical knowledge. The syllabus gets updated every year and the teachers are always helpful. Even during the lockdown the colleges are trying to provide exposure to their stidents through seminars and stuff.

Placement Experience :

Placement Cell of RLAC always works and tries its best to provide its students the best opportunities. Also it arranges various events. The Enactus of RLAC is also very active and is doing well. Its recent project is nased on pencils made from newspapers or waste paper which is also good for the nature.

College Events :

The college fest was good. Other than that various events take place regularly. The college societies are active. And a person in RLAC can experience the events of both RLAC and Aryabhatta and vice versa. So there’s no shortage of events.

Campus Life :

RLAC and Aryabhatta share the football field and volleyball court. Other than that RLAC has its own sports room. The wifi speed varies in different rooms. The library is really big and great. And the labs are well equipped.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not very rigid as the time-table changes every semester. To me it seemed very flexible as I can pursue my CFA designation as well. I wont say that the curriculum prepares us for future pursuits as Delhi University offers a pretty old regime but have adopted the NEP policy from last year.

Placement Experience:

The placements of Gargi college are really nice. There is a placement cell in our college. From 3rd year 4th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. The average CTC was offered as Rs 5 LPA and 3.6 LPA for the previous session. The companies that visited our college are Ernst and young, KPMG, Smart cube and Genpact, S&p Capital IQ, etc. The percentage of students getting placements is 50%. My plan after getting a degree is to prepare for my CAT exam.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of DSC is very active. You can start doing internships from your very first year. Internships go on during the whole year. Placements are usually happening in the last or second last semester mainly for final year students. The main domain for which the recruitment drives are conducted are - Sales, Marketing, Accounting, and HR. The major companies that visit our campus are - KPMG, EY, GENPACT, JARO EDUCATION, WIRPO, and other companies with an average package of 3-3.5 lakhs, students do get nice offers from these companies. The highest package for the year 2020-21 was approximately near 5-6 LPA. There are a good number of students getting placements. Since I am planning for professional courses, I haven't sat for any placements but my friends do sit for the placements and as per the reviews, I can assure you that if you have the right amount of talent and zeal, you are not going to be graduate with empty hands.
