Sayed Mohammad Ali's Review On Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi

Remarks :

As I've applied for various colleges and when I sorted out the colleges in which I got selected I opted for most reputed among that list (the list which I managed, where I sorted the college lists where I got selected).

Course Curriculum Overview :

Syllabus of the course is approved by UGC so I can't question that but yeah about the industrial exposure it was nice there been many companies and industries pays visits to students and we get chance to enrol there for more exposure as a trainee or we get seminars.

Placement Experience :

There are many companies visiting our university like TCS, WIPRO, AUTHBRIDGE, HCL etc, around 70 percent of the students get placed and many alumni students bring there companies to the university for campus placements.

College Events :

Campus life is very much astonishing and adventurous as every department has its own cultural events and the whole university is allowed to participate in every department's events and the whole university also organises cultural events for the whole university.

Campus Life :

Infrastructure is very decent in every aspect, we get all the facilities, like for sports we have sports complex in our college, and wifi in the whole college, we've department wise library, and every equipment in our labs are all in full working condition.

From the 5th semester, you are eligible to get an internship opportunity through campus. Big tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon come every year in our colleges. The highest international package is around 1crore+. 65-70% of college students are able to get placed

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing political science was more of my passion for going deep into the roots of society by knowing the technical know-hows of the polity as well. And yes this course is also a tool that aids students preparing for civils. So for me opting this was a mixture of both reasons. The student-faculty ratio if spoken about, approx 250 students in the dept. and there is a team of 10 teachers. So yeah it is 1:25 approx. If we talk about the qualifications, all the faculties here without exception are highly qualified. One gets to see a combination of professors, associate professors and assistant professors here. But all of them are well versed in the respective papers. The teaching method used by most of them is great and excellent, while for the remaining some of them it's up to the mark. Exams are taken by DU as the authority and the college just has to conduct them. So yes they're quite regular and on time. About passing them, I would say, the level here is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To prepare myself for civil services examinations, I chose the combination of history and political sciences in the BA Programme. The student ratio in my college is mostly male-dominated. But people come here from all the areas of the country, so it's 65:35. The faculty is great and knowledgeable and despite not much high-quality architecture, you will find the professors very intriguing. The term exams were according to the annual calendar released by the university and even if you seriously study for 15 days you can pass easily.

Placement Experience:

I am in the fifth semester and there is no student placed in my course yet because of that there is no highest lowest or average package to tell. There were companies offering internships but most of those were offering either content writing kind of internships or marketing internships I personally am not interested in any of those so I never tried for the internships.

The placement for the students generally starts from the 3rd semester onwards and the SIP(summer internship programme) starts from the 2nd semester onwards for taking advantage of the opportunities and to complete the internships during the gap between the 2nd and 3rd semesters. Also during the internship or the 3rd semester onwards, some companies come and provide PPO( Pre-placement offer). As a second-semester student, I am also sitting for interviews for internships provided by the college. I can sit for college placement and also take advantage of the AIC( Atal Incubation Centre) for working on my start-up idea.
