- AIIMS Delhi Fellowship Programme registrations are open for the January 2025 Session. The last date for online registration @aiimsexams.ac.in is November 6, 2024 (5 PM). The Computer-Based Test (CBT) for admission to the Fellowship Program will be held on November 30, 2024. Check Detailed Prospectus Here.
- Online Registrations will open from Nov 16 at AIIMS Delhi for submission of examination fee for the December 2024 Professional Exams of MBBS/ MD/ MS/ MDS/ DM/ MCh Programs. Eligible candidates can deposit the exam fee through the official portal (aiimsexams.ac.in) till Nov 25, 2024. Further, candidates can download their admit cards from Nov 16 after the payment of the exam fee.

AIIMS Delhi Admission 2024
Admission to all the courses at AIIMS Delhi is entrance-based. AIIMS Delhi Admission involves two major stages- Entrance Exam and Counselling Process. Admission to MBBS at AIIMS Delhi is based on NEET UG. For PG and Super Specialty Courses such as MD/ MS/ MDS, and DM/ M.Ch, the admission is based on INI CET and INI SS, respectively. I got also chance on IISER berhampur , NIT Hamirpur,BHU, IEM kolkata and BDS in semi govt. Medical college, but I have a passion in medical field , so opt for AIIMS delhi. You have to crack AIIMS bsc nsg exam with minimal 1500 rank in general category to opt for any AIIMS .

I choose this mainly because of the fees structure which is very less here. Campus is also very good, sports facilities, academics, Campus is like oxygen reservoir a lot of trees are present in the campus also fruits trees are also present and sometimes we don't have to buy fruits

Igims being govt medical college is associated with nmc terms and guidelines. It follows all the prospectus of nmc like all other colleges. For coming into the mbbs , first you need to clear neet . After neet counselling process goes on (both all india counseling and state ) then you get into the college

.AIIMS is undoubtedly better than any other college be it teachers , clinical exposure, etc .Anyone who has taken Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 10+2 . . The 12th percentage should be greater than 50% .Once you clear examination after online seat allocation you have to get your documents for verification.

- Natural beauty of Rishikesh as a city is just fantabulous and the best part abt the college is that it is situated on the banks of holy river Ganga. The iconic views that come with admission into the college are just priceless.
- Coming to the academics, the college produces great pg ranks every year, and it kindof depends on you how much you want to study. Its true when people say, failing in this college does takes active effort. Plus the college has bagged NIRF rank 14.

- Theres not much to dislike but yes the city life, that too mainly the nightlife is prettymuch non existant.
- There arw a few clubs and places but the asvantage is that the city is peacefull at night and there are some awesome places to explore given that students are allowed to keep vehicles.

The environment is very peacefull and refreshing, seniors are really helping Coming to the admission process its oretty basic, you give NEET UG exam and opt for councelling. - At the very first day of admission, I just loved the well done infrastructure of the college. The lecture theatres are very nice with projectors installed. There is a badminton court made outdoors for the students to play.
- The teachers are very hard working. They put efforts in teaching. For first year in anatomy department there ia a cadaver room.

- The patient load is very high which is a good thing . But difficulty arises to accomplish them and their relatives.
- Patients sleep over the streets in college which disturbs our privacy in college.

I applied for PMCH , NMCH , AIIMS and IGIMS . Initially i got approval from NMCH but it's infrastructure was not at all good according to me . There was only one building and the hospitals and opds were outside the campus half hour away. So i applied for promotion of college and I was approved from IGIMS . I genuinely say everything was top notch in IGIMS from infrastructure to faculties.

I didn't apply to any other college, I knew that I was getting this due to good rank. As this college is the best college, so, I decided to choose this over any other college. The eligibility criteria are simple. Give neet UG and get a good rank to grab a seat here. The cutoff for this is quite variable and depends on the level of difficulty of the exam and also the number of participants taking the exam. The admission process is quite simple.

My first preference was always AIIMS Delhi but since I couldn't get it, my second choice was always AIIMS Bhubaneshwar. The campus being the closest to my home, direct trains etc made it more obvious. Conparing to other colleges which I didnt ipt for, our college has better hostel facilities since it is a new college. We have great faculties, compared to other colleges. Our campus is vey vast and green which make it more lucrative.

I am now in MAMC Delhi Should I drop this year to get into AIIMS Delhi I am sure to get selected next year?
MAMC is a good option and well-recognized in the medical fraternity. You won’t regret joining the institute. Also, in medical field, your institute name won’t matter much. If you want to pursue higher studies after graduation, you need to follow the same steps, irrespective of whether you are graduating from AIIMS or MAMC.
After joining MAMC, you also have the option to prepare for AIIMS next year. It will be difficult, but doable.
How can I get in AIIMS Delhi?
AIIMS Delhi admissions are now based on the NEET examination. The examination now tests a candidate’s accuracy and speed more than his mental abilities.
- Stick to NCERT and do not leave any details untouched
- Read in-between the lines
- Use one reference book or one coaching module. In case you find any topic difficult, refer to the reference book or coaching module
- Practice your speed
- You need to have a good command of the language in which you will be giving your exam. This will enable you to understand what the question demands from you
- If you have 6 months for your preparation, use 5 months to study, and the remaining one month to revise and practice mock tests
- Take as many mock tests as you can to clear your exam with the required rank. Take at least 10 mock tests.
- If your memorizing skills are good, give more time to Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Physics
- If your logical skills are good, give more priority to Biology and Inorganic Chemistry
- Refer to your Physics manual and, for problems, practice using D.C. Pandey and for theory refer to H.C. Verma
- 10-14 hours per day of dedicated preparation will get you through
- Stay hydrated, Keep a healthy sleep routine, and exercise
You must follow these basic practices and make sure to prepare with dedication and honesty to secure a position at AIIMS Delhi. Although the competition is high, with the proper routine you will be able to achieve a high enough rank to get into AIIMS Delhi.
Which way is better, to do an MS general surgery and then take up neurosurgery as a superspeciality, or the direct 6yrs (Mch) Neurosurgery course (offered by AIIMS and NIMHANS) after an MBBS?
I’ll be sharing with you my opinion on both.
As a 6-year MCh candidate, you’ll rotate through 10 months of general surgery. However, general surgery skills aren’t of much use in Neurosurgery, except the very basic knot-tying and suturing skills. You can also acquire those from dedicated lab practice. The other techniques followed in Neurosurgery are very different from those followed in general surgery.
Neurosurgeons generally use access surgeons (thoracic surgeons or urologists) to perform unconventional approaches to the spine. It is much safer for the patient. Also, opting for a 6-year course after MBBS means one less entrance exam.
So it isn’t very beneficial for you to take up 3 years of MS general surgery. I would recommend you choose the direct 6 year Mh Neurosurgery course at AIIMS or NIMHANS instead.
Which is better AIIMS or JIPMER?
Although both JIPMER and AIIMS are elite medical colleges in India, I believe AIIMS is slightly better than JIPMER. Here are some common differences that can be pointed out
- JIPMER has a higher intake than AIIMS so the student-teacher ratio is also higher. This further results in a higher student-patient ratio when one patient is examined for a class.
- AIIMS has a bigger hospital, more patient flow, and better equipment thereby enhancing the overall learning experience. In AIIMS students are left to study on their own and academics aren’t forced upon them while in JIPMER the teachers teach a lot of theory and practice.
- AIIMS refers most general and simple cases to other hospitals so you won’t be able to see a variety of cases while in JIPMER, you see all types of cases.
- AIIMS has better research facilities and funding so if you are willing to do research projects, AIIMS is better for you.
- JIPMER offers extensive internships that teach a lot and provide hands-on experience and clinical practice. AIIMS clinical testing and internships aren’t that good.
- Both JIPMER and AIIMS have a strong alumni network and reservations for post-graduation courses that give you ample opportunities for courses and jobs after finishing your studies.
- Delhi being a metropolitan city has better recreational activities while Pondicherry is the best place if you want a peaceful and calm environment.
- Pulse by AIIMS is the largest intercollegiate medical festival in the country while Spandan by JIPMER is probably the second largest. Pulse definitely has better cultural activities while Spandan definitely has better sporting ones.
- AIIMS has better post-graduation and super specialty courses.
Overall, both are excellent institutes and if you even have a choice between AIIMS and JIPMER, then go for AIIMS.
How is the life of an MBBS student at AIIMS Delhi?

The best way is not to set any targets because when you do, you are limiting yourself to a certain extent. You may or may not achieve your target. But if you don’t set one, you can aim for the sky. AIIMS Delhi was the dream college of one of my friends who had literally no chance of making it into it. The only mantra he followed was not to expect yourself to perform to a particular or specific level, but rather give it your all. As for the preparation strategy, here is what he shared
- Practice Assertion Reason questions: This section is often underestimated when in reality it is a major rank-determining factor.
- Attend assertion reason questions in the beginning: Some might find it weird, but he chose to solve Assertion Reason before the exams as they required a fresh mind which would not have been possible after exams.
- Don’t forget the negative marks: The negative marking might affect your overall performance drastically so beware of it.
- Always stay patient: Don't panic even if you find the question paper to be very challenging as you will forget whatever you have studied.

Can one clear AIIMS Delhi within 1 year of preparation?
Yes, it’s possible to clear AIIMS Delhi with only one year of preparation. Usually, students take 2 years to prepare but there are many who have done it in one. If you put in the required effort, it’s possible.
You should adopt a target-based preparation strategy. Take a chapter and keep on giving tests until you score at least 90% in it. Once done, move on to the next chapter. Make daily, weekly, and monthly preparation plans.
What happens at the first day in AIIMS Delhi for an MBBS?

How much prize money can I get if I got AIR 1 in the NEET, AIIMS, and JIPMER?
In the present scenario, admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER Pondicherry are conducted through NEET UG. Earlier, the institutions conducted their own entrance exams to admit students into their MBBS program.
Now coming to your question, the authorities won’t reward you with any money for securing AIR 1 in the entrance exam. However, your name will be submitted to the Limca Book of records, and you’ll receive prize money from there.
Another way is that unfortunately, plenty of coaching institutes approach NEET toppers to use their names in billboards and coaching materials’ back covers. These institutes will pay you to pretend that you studied for your NEET exam from them. It is possible that book brands will pay you for positive feedback.
These are the multiple ways that toppers gain popularity and money after NEET results. However, make sure to keep your head down and work even harder once you achieve this milestone. Even though you won't receive any cash prize from the authorities, you’ll
