I got mechanical engineering in IIT bhu because of my rank in jee advanced examination. I rejected civil of kanpur and chemical of ghuwati because of the superiority of mechanical over them . In terms of placement IIT bhu rank is now 2 after IIT kanpur that's one of the reason to choose it. Now I tell u about my admission process all the students alloted a date to submit documents and for hostel verification . Then on that day the allot us hostel room to stay. Then all students of different branches alloted different places to go and submit documents we go there and submit documents after a rush. Then they give us college id card with college stamp. IIT BHU is known for it's religious and spiritual, Cultural environment. A number of fest take place. There are appx 10-11 DJ nights and pronight in a year. A total of 6-7 fest are done annually at large level and small fest are regular. This is the best thing of it. The mess quality is also better as compared to others. The admission process is very simple u have to give jee mains examination then jee advanced examination and qualify both the examination in the same year the jee main examination is mostly held two times in a year jan and March tentative and jee advanced in aug tentative btech in min eng is a four year course and for application of jee main one should visit nta website and for the jee advanced examination one should visit the joint Apex board website after that when your result is out then u can take part in counseling for ur course in IIT bhu for reservation there is a free remission for the students if ur income is less then 5 lakh the u can avail for that sc/st scholarship is also there...Read More

The admission process was through JoSAA. The entrance exam required is first JEE Mains and then JEE Advanced. The cut off for JEE Advanced is about 88 percentile in JEE Mains and for qualifying JEE Advanced it is around 30-35k rank....Read More
