A Good College with Great Facilities

Remarks :

The college management is sometimes very helpful and sometimes does not listen to anything we say. Frankly speaking, the management is money hungry. If we provide them the fees, they are very helpful and if we sometimes delay in paying the fees, they are rude. The college campus is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

To be fair, the course curriculum is very big and most of the time, the faculties aren't able to complete it. The exam procedure is also very bad as it gives priority to how much a child can write, even if it is nonsense. The checking criteria is bad for which the deserving students don't get mark. The only thing I hate about the college is it's exam procedure.

Placement Experience :

Mostly the companies are from IT background. The mass recruiters of our college are Wipro and Infosys. Even a lot of placement opportunities will be available. Almost all the students from our senior batch got placed. Do not have any backlogs, or else you won't be permitted to sit in few companies in the college. Salary packages offered vary from 3. 5 LPA to 8 LPA depending upon the skill sets and knowledge you possess in coding.

College Events :

Many festivals are organised by the college every year like the TechnoFest, Cultural Night and the student special Music Festival. This time, our cultural night was sponseres by Red Bull and a music festival by Red Bull happened alongside. The pariticipation in each of the festival is more than 600-700 students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The total fees including college, food and hotel fees comes to around 2lpa. The fees is expensive as many students are not from very good background and many have to take a loan to continue studying in the college for 4 years. We had to pay an additional fee of 1000 during the admission to secure the admission. There is full transparency in the fees breakdown.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I had applied for a scholarship but I couldn't get it due to my bad rank in JEE. The scholarship is around Rs 45000 per year per person. There are 3 students in each branch who are provided with the scholarship. The people who get the schlorship need to have good marks in JEE.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities are very less in our college. There is a single ground for Football and Cricket There is a music club and a Theatre club. There is also a Environment Club. The gender is ratio is around 1:1 for CSE branch and 1:2 for non CSE branches with the latter being boys. Many workshops are conducted every year for every branch. The tolerance level is good in our campus and aost students of every religion study here. The student body election is held every year.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I have opted for a hostel as my home is far from the college. It is sharing room and in each room, there are 3 people. But the rroms are big and 3 persons can accommodate easily. The hostel fees is around 35000+ food fees.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is very helpful. Many students who don't get jobs through campus are helped by the alumni by helping them get a good job in their company. I personally do not have any experience with the alumni but I have heard my seniors talk about them and it's all good things.

Admission :

I was selected from my JEE Mains marks. The admission into the college depends on your JEE Mains rank. I had applied through the OJEE website and put the college as my 2nd choice. After choice locking, I got the virtual admission into the college and after that, at a given date, I was told to submit the money and my Admission was complete. I really wanted to try out Engineering as I was interested in Electrical things. So I chose the EEE department.

Faculty :

The faculties are very dedicated to improving the knowledge of the students. They try to help the students in every way possible. They come to the class after throughout researching about the subject and are very good at making some subjects interesting even if they are boring subjects. We have consultation classes every Saturdays where we can ask the faculties our every doubts. The no. Of lecturers are around 150.

Placements in KIIT are great as they are able to invite almost all top companies across globe and also train the students in the formative year of their bachelor's degree. They also continously guide students about various placement rounds involved for different companies.

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Remarks:

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
