Remarks :

BITS maintains the highest level of education,supports students and encourage them to represent the college. Also there was proper discipline being followed.

Entrance Preview :

I took BITSAT Exam to be cleared along with 80% Marks in 12th Standard in Physics chemistry and maths. I scored 333 marks out of 450 and got the branch of my choice. My ID number was 060 in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Excellent standards of BITS. We were allowed to choose electives as per our interest. We could start taking electives starting from the second year and we could select as many as we like with minimum requirement to take 6 electives throughout the course.

Internships Opportunities :

I must say the internship experience was the best part. We were given list of about 200 companies to choose from with all details of type of work and stipen being offered ranging from 10000 to 30000 and even more in computer science branch. I got 15000 per month in year 2008. The standards have improved to great extent now.

Placement Experience :

Even though 2009 was the year of recession our college made great efforts to get all the students placed. They organised placement drive in BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus also along with our own Goa campus so that more companies can visit. Called PSUs for placement. I got Job in BHEL.

College Events :

All events including Technical festival,Cultural festival,sports meet etc were organised at the highest level. Foreign performers like feeding the fish, DJ nikhil chanappa,KK live,Indian ocean band performance many reputed rock bands,artists,MTV VJs and even the roadies. Live air show etc. The college was inaugurated by Prime Manisted Dr. manmohan singh in our presence. We had biggest auditorium of 2400 capacity where movies were shown live world cup matches. Best ever experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee was much less and pocket friendly. I paid only Rs 22500 per semester as education fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There was also schemes of scholarships. Merit scholarship,Merit cum need scholarship for students whose parents income was below 3 lakhs. I used to get merit cum need scholarship worth 25% of my fee every semester.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel experience was also awesome from the first day of joining we get single rooms with excellent furniture computer table,Internet connectivity even window mess on windows. Mess food was ok at initial stage but improved gradually. Hostel fee was just rs 2000 per semester and mess fee Rs 2000 per month.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes we have alumni network,regular emails and Alumni meets organised. Even awards for the achievements by Alumnus. There are proper posts been headed by Alumni students as well as current students. We are still connected.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure was also best of its kind. All type of exams open book,closed book,practicals,Lab test. Different structures of Examination in different semesters as per requirement. Mid semester test,Final comprehensive exams.

Faculty :

Faculty was knowledgeable and almost all were Ph.D qualified professors. All teachers had full knowledge of their subject and were guiding us very well.

Visiting the interiors!

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

BITS Pilani - It's truly magic ?

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of my college is great. The complanies that recruit from my college are from tech, core and finance. My college is a Tier 1 college so the placements are also in the upper strata. The overall avg package of campus is around 15 lakhs and avg package of CS department reaches 30 lakhs. 90% of the batch gets placed and the rest of the students either go for higher studies or start their own startup.

My college has the best infrastructure to provide for its students with workshops, number of laboratories each meant for seperate branches to conduct experiments, community centres, auditoriums, well equiped library and at last the atmosphere that makes me feel that this is the best institution I have ever went to.

I haven't go for any entrance test. it was near to my place n college reputation was good, so that's why i took this college.I came to this college through my higher secondary examination result. I opted this college because of the teaching staff and it is the only good college near by my locality so this reason made me to opt this college.

Placement Experience:

Yes, here it comes placement and job opportunity is very excellent in our college when compared with our locality or surrounding 100 km area it is very beneficial for information technology, computer engineering, electronic & tele communication students related branches the jobs are very good.
