Course Curriculum Overview :
Exam structure is decided by College authority and University Board. As the college is autonomous institution Exam structure is varies by teacher to teacher. But the level of exam paper in all the course is very high. Students need to study very hard to get exam pass because To score pointer. Pointer is the main criteria for companies so students mostly focus on gaining more marks. Teachers are good knowledgeable to teach students.
Placement Experience :
There are many companies that visits walchand every year. Most common companies are - Symantec, Thoughtworks, Veritas, Eaton, Pubmatic, NICE, Zycus, Xoriant, Accenture, Wipro, IBM, infosys, Amazon, Google. In last two years 4 students got placed in Amazon and in 2020 2 students got placed in google with 43 LPA package. 20+ Students got placed in companies having 15+ LPA package. Most of yhe companies provide Internship in 8th semester.
College Events :
Annual Social gathering and VISION are both two festival Event in our college. VISION is a National level technical Symposium. Which means it is national level even. Students from various colleges come to rush there. Also we celebrate Ganpati festival, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti and all the Birth Anniversary of great leaders. We have small small programs on that day.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee Structure is same as all the college. College provide different types of scholarship and freeship to all. The best thing is that you just have to pay all the fee just once other than you don't need to give money for anything such as library and Exam Fee or Any laboratory fee. Not even to ID Card. As it is Autonomous collge the development fee is little bit high than other colleges
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I haven't Availed any type of scholarship during my tenure in walchand College but the scholarship and freeship facility is available in college based on your annual Income of your family.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very good. Teachers are good knowledgeable to teach students. also students focus on each and every aspect to learn everything, everyday. Gender diversity is 40:60 F:M in my college. The college have well infrastructure and good develoed laboratory. Also all the computer labs are very good. New addmited students have chance to join any clubs in our college that you can inhance your all the non technical skills. On the guidance of their seniors.
Hostel Facilities :
As the college is established in 1947… Most of the hostel are old types but the cleanliness is good in all the hostel. College provide high speed internet to the Hostel. and Hostel campus. The total hostel campus is WiFi Campus.Most pf the students gets hostel and the hostel fees are very minimal i.e. 16000 Yearly.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, Walchand College of Engineering Sangli have very strong connection with their Allumnis and Every Year We have Alumni Meet program in the month of January. Where specific batch alumni came together to Express there experience.
Admission :
Admission process is very simple. If need any help volenteers are there to help. Admission dates varies between the month of July To August Based on Results provided by DTE. I choose this institute because of the placement percentage in the walchand College of engineering Sangli is very good. Computer Science and Information Technology gives 100% placement with greater package.
Faculty :
Teachers are good knowledgeable to teach students. Teachers uses computer presentation and LED presentation to teach. Also teachers focus on practical knowledge than theory knowledge. Exam set by teach is very Tough. Students need to study very hard to get exam pass because To score pointer. Pointer is the main criteria for companies so students mostly focus on gaining more marks.
