My dream

Remarks :

I was a very beautiful time I spent in my life. The complete 3 years course time was full of knowledge and fun. I learnt new language too. The only regret I have that we do not had our own College canteen. So I missed canteen time of my college days

Course Curriculum Overview :

Lots of hotel management colleges teaches specialised courses like students learn only about kitchen, or front office or house keeping, service department depending on the ones interest. But my college has courses for all the department. After completion I can choose my department or can give government exams. Campus placement is depend on one's talent. We have visited Haritage vineyard in Bangalore, 5 star hotel for training.

Placement Experience :

During my placement drives, approx 52 companies fron different industries came like hotel, retail, FMCG, airlines, gourmet and fashion brands. Recruitment process was same as normal like Exam or GD or both, personal interview, hour rounds and then offers. Approx 85-90% students get placed every year. Some of them opt for further studies or go abroad. Special classes were taken by our HODs and principal to groom the students for the interviews, about the recruitment process etc.

College Events :

World tourism day Annual function Farewell day Freshers party Attendence of the students is about 80-85 %. We were given good amount of time to prepare for the functions. Food was prepared by the students only under HODs observations, served by relevant students. Great learning time for all the interested students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

My fee was about 3.21 lacs approx, other than examination fees, hostel fees. Mode of payment were DD, cheques and cash. Digital payment were not available that time. My college has provided complete breakdown of the fees and nothing was hidden. The fee structure was very transparent.

Fees and Financial Aid :

No I did not opted for any scholarships. Scholarships were fir SC, ST, OBC non creamy layer and other reserved classes.

Campus Life :

The campus life was good. If we do not want to have lunch in the college, we can have Sumit k Samose. Or can go to MS canteen for very nutritious and affordable South Indian meals and a cup of nice filter coffee. Gender ratio was very bad because girls did not pick for this course more often. Every year sports activities happen for all the sports enthusiasts. MasterChef competition happen for the new chefs in third year.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes I have opted for the hostel because Bangalore was a very new city for me. I didn't know any one who can help me out with the accommodation. Rooms were sharing rooms. One is 2 sharing and other was 3 sharing. Hostel fee was including mess charges. PGs were about 7000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna :

As we all know ragging (introduction session) happens in all the institutions, it was happened in my college too and was full of fun. Seniors were very helpful. I was very introvert but still some seniors knows me and helped me in my assignment.

Admission :

Admission Thourough enterence exam and then rank wise college distribution. I chose HHA course because of my interest and better job opportunities after the completion. A unique course other than main streem engineering, doctor or normal graduation fields.

Faculty :

We had 5 basic courses and seperate lecturer for each course. Each faculty is well experienced and have good industrial knowledge and connections. All of them were well educated and know their job. It good that a student learns about all for major department in all 3 years and then opt during campus placements.

The campus has an active placement cell. The college starts the placement offerings on 4th year of a student The students get job offers from leading 5 star hotel brands for job offers and internships like Marriott, Hilton , Sheraton, Raddisson and Hyatt. The highest package for a fresher in the industry is 25000 rupees per month The college prides itself in giving 100 % job placements to all the students opting for campus placements. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher studies in the US

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.
