Campus Life :
Manipal is a campus town so social life club involvements and infrastructure provided is amazing, it's a simulation to real-life adulting maybe with some training wheels Literary material in the form of books and magazines is abundant accross libraries for all disciplines Tech and facilities is top notch and all kinds of modern equipment is available, sometimes so state of art it might not be available in the Industry itself Sports and extracurriculars is abundant here with clubs and these clubs can be joined irrespective of what college they come from
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels in wgsha provide a room ac or non AC, washing machine access, mess facilities, and for girls there's also a gym The mealz are great, possibly the best accross other college messes You need to talk to the college hostel warden to check for availability and Hostels are always cheaper than other accomodation options I live in a PG in vidya ratna nagar
Admission :
I tried giving common entrance test but due to software issues couldn't I only knew about IHMs and WGSHA, IHMs didn't pan out and WGSHA gave me a clear admission so yes It starts with an exam like other IHMs and then a personal interview
Faculty :
1 faculty for 25 students Bachelors degree and atleast 5 year experience in the industry and education, they use examples of industry while teaching to make it easier to understand Anytime we need during the day depending on their schedule Exams happen 4 times a year and regular assessments in the form of tests and assignments Some faculties aren't liked as they first try to seem they're too good to be teaching and then get angry when they're not taken seriously by students and sometimes act straight up petty prepone assignment deadlines
Interview Experience :
I had an interview and a written test The topics for interview questions was GK and a little bit about food, and the test pattern was the same as the nchmct jee The process was simple you pass a test then an interview and if you have atleast 50 percentage in 12th boards you're in the provide a provisional admission which is confirmed after the board exam results are out and fees is paid For the test I used a guide books and interview i took help from relatives in academia
Night Life :
There are enough gyms, cafeterias, night clubs and restaurants that cater to different tastes and budgets, tho everything closes off max by 11pm so late nights unless you've stocked up in advance there's not much to eat or something, Hostels have a perm time of 11pm Famous hangout places can be Student plaza at MIT, Baba's point bridge, for the most part it is safe but during monsoons snakes and Insects are aa risk, plus street lights are only in the city and not much coverage
