- I’ll say the placement here is of very pretty standard they live upto your expectations, the way the faculties are involve and you know we respect can see the efforts they are putting for oue placement and internships
- Yeah and you’ll get celebrate every festive here with great celebrations and quiet good quality because it’s a hotel management college were students organise everything from food preparation to decorations to conducting programs to serving etc
Dislikes
- We are forced to work for programs even when we don’t want to participate, you’ll get to experience this a lot when times you don’t want to participate in the upcoming program but the college blackmails you with attendance and principal that’s worse
- Btw it’s a hotel management college but no student likes their own college foods sometimes it’s goot but sometimes it’s worse
Course Curriculum Overview :
My passion for cooking led me to this course i had learned about all the 4 main departments of this course and now iam in my 4th year only learning about one main department that i chose to go agead on with my career. We get many special guest talks and classes preparing us for our placements and internships and every department gets special classes from guests lectures and teachers.
Internships Opportunities :
I sat for mariott delhi in all main four departments for 6 months with stipend of 5000 we Hotela management interns in rarely get any stipend you have options for doing your internship through college or own your own and basically everyone gets good hotels for internships
Placement Experience :
Actually people do look up to you when you say the name of your college and appreciate you and they really look forward yk and the placements are actually good and live up to standards and everyone get's chance to sit for any company that are coming and the college prepares you very well for the placement gouextra lengths by taking a lot of classes on GD, PI, resume writing and extempore etc. and there will be a lot if guest lecturers and extra classes from all the guests etc and by the time the placement starts everyone is confident and many does better
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So basically the 1 st year fees are more compared to 4th year because you have to pay for hostel mess and college differently after 1st year you have options for hostel or live outside hostel because WGSHA's hostel is basically only for 1 st years even after your 1st year you want gostel you'll get it a room in different hostels of manipal university. I don't know much about the scholarship but yeah the students who top the course gets scholarships and there is no such as reserve category fee system here every one pays the same amount of fees. And there is change in fees compare to back in 2021 it has increased for further queries of the fees you can download Wgsha prospect in their website.
Campus Life :
The college infrastructure is good amf the facilities are very standards the college itself looks very fancy and standard and their are many clubs you have options to choose many clubs and there are numerous opportunity in sports and extracurricular activities because there is college competition and an also outer college competition and you often get to patrticipate in many competitions outside colleges and college also helps with field trips and the classrooms are great with good wifi connections in computer lab and language lab and we have locker rooms with bunkers and college cafes run by students and faculties and we have two restrooms in our college with live kitchen and outstanding bar we get to organise food fest where the studerun the whole restaurant with the help of faculties from serving to promotion to decoration to revenue management to cooking to menu planning to searching for sponsors is done by students of wgsha
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are also quiet good and the food quality also has improved a lot and tight security and the wgsha mess food quality is the best. Every room is a double person room and every room has its own bathroom with geaser and we are provided with bed, mattress, study table, chair and two wardrobe if you have chosen ac room you get ac in your room and every floor has one common washing machine and water filter and in the first floor we have the common play and study area and small gym
Admission :
I chose this college because of their ranking, alumini(vikas khanna) package, and facilities. Now that i looked back all the admission process and everything was easy except when it was time to booked hostel rooms you need to be as fast as possible to book your hotel rooms because the weather here is very hot so you'll like ac rooms better the faster you're the faster you get the ac room
Faculty :
Faculties members are very friendly and sometimes you'll feel like they are your friends if you have a very open and extrovert character. We have two main exams every semester mid terms and final mid terms are for 50 marks and finals for 80 the 20 marks of finals are from your internal marks they usually conduct a lot of mcq test and presentations and your internal makrs depends in all that and we have two types of exam one is practical and the othet theory and for practicals we only have end sem practical exams and our marks will be send to our college gmail and it also displayed on our college website account and cgpa actually it's not that tough to clear exam cause we have more MCQ starting this year
Interview Experience :
There was only two PI round one with a random faculty member and one with the vice principal or the principal. They call you before hand to inform you about your interview time and everything was done in video call and after your interview once the results are announced they'll email you and if you're confirmed you want to go to this college fill your all the documents and pay the fees and they ask some general questions it's good to prepare for it
