Remarks :

To get admitted for this course student need to secure more than 60% and also they have to give a collage entrance exam, though the exam is very easy and you can find the application form, fee structure, brocure, application date and all the details on the official website of MSRUAS. I'm a general category physcally fit student so I don't have much idea about reservation facilities. the collage, studies, infrastructure, faculties, campus life, sports grounds etc. are very satisfatory. In-campus hostels don't provide much of a good facilities but also the price is very low. if you want a very comfortable accommodation then there are many good PGs outside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

From the starting I was't much interested in this course or hotel industry and I was a humanities student so I prefered Law or fashion designing but my father and some people who are really close to me suggested that this industry has more scopes for me in India and even abroad and also this industry always requires more people so I tried to know more about it and really got fascinated and looked for good Universities in India but at tha time all the national and state entrance exams were finished and admissions has started so searched for private ones then I got to know about MS Ramaiah University and I placed my application and got into the collage. The faculties are really supportive and helpful in everything and they are highly qualified which I realized from their teaching method. We do have semester end exams and mid-term but also the teachers take mock tests every once in a while.

Internships Opportunities :

For intership students can apply in any brands they want but basically in hotel brand not in airlines or cruiselines and also they can apply for abroad interships as per their choices but they have to pay some particular amount of fees for it. Mostly we get opportunities to do our interships in 4-5 star hotels anywhere in India. stipends are may be not that attractive may be within 5-10 thousand per month but except interships also our collage provides other training and experience sessions like outdoor caterings and VIP service etc. In outdoor caterings we get per event 600-700 rupees. If you want to go for abroad intership then may be you can get a really good amount of stipend and through out the course you can try other training programs and part time jobs related to the course provided by collage itself.

Placement Experience :

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fees structure of the course is basically around 8lakhs but sometime it varies(mostly increases) according to the addmission time also the the uniform, journal, utility kits and admissionkit altogether you have to pay 40,000rs amount of money. There aren't any particular direct scholarship for the couse but I think there are few available from university and also few internships are also provided by university. If you want to earn stipend or extra money along with exposure while studying then in this particular course there are very good oppertunities are provided from the department like Outdoor catering, Interships or trainings and even more and you can choose according to your interest.

Campus Life :

University celebrates quite few festivals together but different departments organize there own cultural festivals, dj nights, functions, competitions and sports ona regular basis and even there are few competions organized between different course students and faculties or departments. Every department has their own library with various types of books according to the course and even their e-library or digital library sites are available with thousands of books options free of cost for students to read. Though in our course no books are provided but teachers regularly reccommend useful books to refer for studies. we have diiferent hall type class rooms for theory classes with useful amenities, labs and diiferent pratical classrooms according to different batches and utilities. Though I don't really like to participate in any sports activities but as I have notified there are various sports, cultural and literary sompetitions are organized every month in university by student clubs.

Hostel Facilities :

There are diiferent type of hostels and PGs are available inside and outside the campus. The inside campus hostels doesn't provide very good or all type of facilities but if price is also very cheaper than the outside campus PGs but PGs provide all type of good facilities with good food, high security and good cleaninessa and maintenance where as in hostels food is not provided by hostel so you need to make your own arrangement and wifi also doesn't work very well and network problem is a major issue inside the hostel because the hostel buildings are very old so these are also not in a very good condition. If you want to opt for PG you can choose according to your budget or price range though I stay in inside campus hostel because of safety purpose and it's cheaper.

Placement Experience:

The campus has an active placement cell. The college starts the placement offerings on 4th year of a student The students get job offers from leading 5 star hotel brands for job offers and internships like Marriott, Hilton , Sheraton, Raddisson and Hyatt. The highest package for a fresher in the industry is 25000 rupees per month The college prides itself in giving 100 % job placements to all the students opting for campus placements. My plan after getting the degree is to pursue higher studies in the US
