- The university promises a lot and mind you, fullfill them all too.
- The examination department of our university is arguably the best as we always have exams as scheduled.
Dislikes
- Well, an uniform at college level is like demanding and this should be eliminated.
Course Curriculum Overview :
From hotel administration to hotel kitchen department everything is taught here. It's up to us to choose the electives accordingly. The best part that our faculty themselves suggest us what should we choose as they have an eagles eye and they knows what are we good at.
Placement Experience :
After second year we are sent to hotels for internships and that is where we learn most of the stuff. From five star groups like Hyaat and Le Meridien we also have fast food chain restaurants like Devyani Group and McDonald's among others have and keep on hiring student from our university regularly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
MSRUAS hospitality department is among one of the best department of this illustrious university. Fees is 175k for each year and we have been told that it will stay the same. So, 7 lakhs would be out total fees and I feel for an illustrious university like ours this is appropriate.
Campus Life :
Akira is our departmental fest where me manage a food session for all the faculties and judges that are invited from various prestigious hotel groups. Where we lack and where we need improvement all suggestions are given in that fest. Our cultural fest is Xenia which is university's combined fest and all departments students are allowed to participate and show all what they have in store to entertain the large crowd that we have.
Admission :
IIHM was the one but it has too much of competition and yes I faced rejection from IIHM Hyderabad. However, I don't regret as my own city's college MSRUAS is among one of the top hotel management college. Admission here are on 12th score and a small personal interview which is quite good actually.
Faculty :
Faculties are good but top chefs and top hotel managers are invited to take guest lecturers. Our faculties too are ones that who have been a part of this industry in and have entered teaching profession later so their experience also counts and impact us a lot.
Night Life :
Well ours is 85 acres big campus and have nearly 14-15 hostels including boys and girls hostels and teachers staff colony. The in time for hostel is wyit strict as it is 7 for girls and 8 for boys. Bangalore is known for vibrant night life and we have pubs like Bangalore Adda and District 6 very close to our campus.
