Remarks :
The infra is not that great but the placements and college life is just great
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum for ceramic engineering has been recently changed to keep up with the industry standards. The exam structure is not that research driven. It revolves around what is taught in class. However on campus placements are not that much in the field of ceramics. However the freedom to choose courses from other branches does help a lot.
Placement Experience :
IIT bhu has one of the best placement records, from apple to google to microsoft to tata etc. A lot of companies visit the college and eventually more than 90% of the registered students get placed. The institution doesnt take much steps to preparenthe students. It is the students who are involved in the preparation and help one another
College Events :
IIT BHU Has thouree major feast, Kashiyatra- The cultural fest, Technex - technical fest and spardha- sports fest. All of them gather students from all around the country and also conduct pronites with the country's top artists performing regulary in all the events
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The college accepts all payment via state bank of india. The fees was quite feasiblenduring my time but the fees has recently been doubled and that in my opnion will be expensoce to quite a lot of students as it is close to 2 lakhs per year. And the fee is paid every 6 months (so around 1 lakh a semester)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I didnt get any scholarshops but it does exist. It is on the basis of the fathers income, if its less than 6 lakhs the annual fees was given as scholarship
Campus Life :
The campus life was just great hoeever the gender ratio was around 1:10 which is a problem in almost all the IIT's. The regional diversity is great since people from almost from all corners of the country study. There are clubs specofoc to robotics, debates, theatre, etc which make sure that extracurricular activites flourish
Hostel Facilities :
The annual hostel fee is one of the cheapest with it being around 600 rupees for 6 months. It is taken along with the mess fees and thus inclusive of the hostel fee, electeicity etc the annual fee is around 24000 Rs
Alumni/Alumna :
The college almuni is one of the biggest in the country with the college being almost 100 years old woth everyone being super helpful
Admission :
Thourough the All India JEE Examination conducted. IIT BHU has the best placement statistics in the country. And now that I have graduated I can agree to the fact that its true. Ceramic Engimeering was something which I got because of my rank and thus no prior interest
Faculty :
The average age of the faculty generally is more than 45-50 and only some of them are highly qualified else rest are just teachers who were present in the system when the institution wasnt an IIT. Generally the system followed is self study, so basically the focus on the quality of the faculty, etc was minimal
