Remarks :

Admission is granted through JEED ADVANCED. Aplicants clearing JEE MAINS, have to clear the total cutt off and subject cutt off all three subjects in JEE ADVANCED to get a rank, according to which the 16000(approximate) seats of the IIT's are filled. The application portal is opened for students clearing jee mains cutt-off, on the official website of the iit conducting jee advanced that year. Resevations is provided with 10% seats fo EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 5% forPwD in all the categories mentioned before. Besides 20% seats are reserved for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Chose this course because of interests. The student:prof ratio is good, 10:1 approximately. The faculty is high qualfied and gives their best to teach us. Quizes are conducted on regular basis, besides HW, tutorials, assignments, projects. Also mid term and end sem exams occur once every semester. The exams can be passed with ease with moderate level of preaparation.

Internships Opportunities :

A lot of companies come to offer internships to students in there pre final years. The stipend ranges from Rs20,000 per month to Rs2,00,000 per month. The number of on-campus internships is around 300.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are also one the best among all the IIT's with packages ranging from 10lpa to 2crore+ per anum. The median package of college is around 13-15lpa. And the median for some branches like CSE, ECE, EEE is 25lpa+. The students of final year are eligible for sitting into placements. A lot of companies visit the campus for both core and non core offers. If you are even a bit focussed towards the placements and prepare moderately then IIT BHU will definitely give you atleast one on campus offer.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fee per semester (inculding tuition fee and mess and hostel) for a student with family income>5lpa is Rs1,20,000. The same fee for a student with family income >1lpa and <5lpa is Rs54,000. If family income is <1lpa, then fee is Rs20,700. The fee for a SC/ST/PwD candidate is Rs20,700 ireespective of family income. Scholarships are available through various central, state government schemes. Besides the college has many scholarships of its own.

Campus Life :

The fests are huge and of the largest among fests in India. Technex is the annual technology and management fest. Kshiyatra is the annual cultural fest and Spardha is the annual sports fest. The libraries have huge quantity of books catering to all your needs. The campus has excellent spots facilities for almost sports, including stadiums and equipments. A lot of clubs are there for extra curriculars, and you yourself can start a club if you feel the need of a society. Although being an old institute, you might not be able to see designer buildings or fancy furnitures.

Hostel Facilities :

Double seater rooms are provided for Undergraduates, and single for post graduates. The meal quality of here is best among all the IIT's. A satvik mess is also there for only vegeterians. The mess fee is Rs12,000 per semester.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

Remarks:
