Remarks :

Every Institute has some positive and negative points. According to me silicon is overall a good institutions. There are good facilities for students to gain more knowledge about the topic. There is some problem for mess food. That can be adjustable.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Basically we are the last batch of silicon under BPUT. We have 2 semesters in a year. In each semester we have to attend 2 internals, quiz test, surprise test and practical exams. I am in 6th semester and we have 3 labs in 6th semester- PSOC, CE &BCSI.

Placement Experience :

Yup, our college provide internship. Mainly, summer internship on VLSI, Machine learning, Data structure. Basically, CS based companies are came for placement in huge numbers. Where as a few core competencies are come for recruiting students.

College Events :

Rhythmnova- annual function of SMC(silicon music club) Cultural nites- a function held by CCC(CAMPUS LIFE COORDINATION COMMUNITY) ZYGON- annual function of silicon NOESIS- Tech fest of silicon Along with this we celebrate holi and diwali in our college premises.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

A little bit expensive. They can take total 171000 for institutions fees and hostel fees excluding the mess fees. In each month they take 3000 for mess fees. Also they put maintenance fees, tech fest fees extra.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Ya there is scholarship facility for the scholar club students. If your CGPA is 9.0 or greater than that then you are eligible for a member of silicon scholar club. First two students from a branch get 11000 rs with a pendrive as scholarship.

Campus Life :

Yup there are different clubs like music club, creative club, robotics club, IEEE club, sports club, zeal, circuit club, meta academics etc. Yup there are annual sports happening in winter. There is also a zym inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes I am a Hostilities. Floors are divided according to different years. As a third year student I got second floor. In each room there are 3 students. If any one want to live in dromedary they provide dromedary for 5 people in a room.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yup some are very helpful. They guide us how to choose elective. Also they clear our doubt. They help us regarding different activities like hackathon, projects. Different activities held in our college.

Admission :

I got admission by jee main entrance examination. I choose ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS branch. There are 4 branches in our college. EEE, ECE, CSE &AEI. I choose EEE because I have an intrest in power system and machines like transformers, motors, generator etc.

Faculty :

We have very good faculties. They provides us good notes also we have an industrial lecture classes in which persons from different Industries were came and gave us ideas about their industry. Also they took us to different industry to gain extra knowledge.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
